Automatic optimizing pest control substance delivery system
Automated pest control systems and methods can use information (including input information based on, but not limited to, for example, one or more of the season(s), temperature trend(s) over a period of time(s), length of day(s), change(s) in the length of day(s) over a period of time(s), the deterioration of the potencies of substance(s) based on the exposed shelf-life and/or spoilage of the substance(s), indoor versus outdoor usage, geographical location, species/subspecies, or other input information) to optimize the effectiveness of the delivery of pest control substances over a period of time.
PEST DETECTION
A system (10) for remote detection of pests, in this case as applied to a domestic dwelling (11) where a base station (12) communicates with eight detector or monitor units (13). The dotted (lines (14) indicate wired or wireless communication between the units (13) and the base station (12). As used herein the expressions monitor and detector are used interchangeably or where the detector is used as part of a box or cartridge where the detector is part (and may be reusable and separable) the whole unit including the detector part may be referred to as a monitor.
Rodent Bait Station
A bait station configured to receive rodenticide and to be mounted on a poultry house feed tube in a deployed configuration. The bait station comprises a pair of oppositely spaced mounting flanges configured to be positioned on opposite sides of the feed tube in the deployed configuration. A tunnel portion having opposite open ends, is connected to the mounting flanges and configured to be positioned above and parallel to the feed tube in the deployed configuration. A bait compartment in communication with the tunnel portion is centrally disposed between the opposite open ends of the tunnel portion and in embodiments may extend from one side of the tunnel portion or may comprise a central region of the tunnel portion. The bait compartment comprises a chamber for receiving the rodenticide through a loading port having a removeable lid.
