BAIT STATION
20240057582 · 2024-02-22 · ·

A bait station for pest control, the bait station comprising: an enclosure defining an access chamber and a bait chamber, said access chamber including at least one entry port for permitting entry of a pest into said enclosure, said bait chamber configured to hold therein bait material harmful to the pest; and a load sensing module arranged in the bait chamber for sensing changes in weight of bait material positioned in said bait chamber and operable to output signal indicative of sensed changes in weight of the bait material and transmit said output signal to a remote location.

Sewer cleanout cap and related methods

Implementations of sewer cleanout caps may include a cap having a first side and the second side opposite the first side. The cap may be configured to be inserted into a sewer cleanout line with the second side facing an inside of the sewer cleanout line. Implementations of sewer cleanout caps may include a rod coupled to and extending from the second side of the cap. The rod may be configured to extend through and couple to a bait. Implementations of sewer cleanout caps may also include a bait retainer configured to couple to the rod and secure the rodenticide to the rod and a spacer coupled over the rod and configured to provide space between the rodenticide and the second side. A length of the rod extending from the second side may be adjustable.

Rodent bait station having a counting mechanism
10477855 · 2019-11-19 ·

A rodent bait station having a counting mechanism configured to monitor the number of rodents entering the bait chamber of a rodent bait station. The housing has a counting mechanism in communication with the entrance of at least one bait chamber opening. A sensor is in communication with the counting mechanism. The counting mechanism can be mechanically actuated or electronically activated when the sensor detects a rodent entering through the bait chamber of the bait station. The bait chamber has at least one bait rod having an end that is hingedly connected to an inner wall of the bait chamber. A resilient member is in communication with the bait rod to position the bait rod in a substantially horizontal orientation when the housing lid is closed and to position the bait rod in a substantially vertical orientation when the housing lid is opened.

ATTRACTANTS FOR MICE

Compositions attractive to mice include one or more long-range volatiles and one or more short-range volatiles. The long-range volatiles can include butyric acid, 2-methylbutyric acid, and 4-heptanone. Devices and methods of using the compositions are also disclosed.

A rodent bait station comprises a housing defining at least one entrance, a bait holding area arranged within the housing for storing a quantity of rodent bait for consumption, and an electronics assembly. The electronics assembly includes a capacitor arranged proximate the bait holding area and having a characteristic capacitance indicative of the quantity of bait in the bait holding area, and a controller for measuring the characteristic capacitance of the capacitor. A processor of the electronics assembly estimates a quantity of bait in the bait holding area according to the measured characteristic capacitance, and transmits via a transmitter a wireless signal indicative of one of the measured characteristic capacitance or the estimated quantity of bait in the bait holding area.
