METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN ELEVATOR INSTALLATION BY USING A COMPUTER-CONTROLLED MOBILE DEVICE
A method for controlling an elevator installation uses a computer-controlled mobile device. The elevator installation includes an elevator shaft having a plurality of shaft thresholds each assigned to one floor, an elevator car having a car threshold and is moveable along the elevator shaft, and a control unit for moving the elevator car. The mobile device has an evaluation unit that communicates with the control unit. Information generated using at least one component of the mobile device as a result of a height deviation between the car threshold and a shaft threshold located opposite the car threshold is received in the evaluation unit, is then evaluated and control information for moving the elevator car is generated. The control information is sent to the control unit to move the elevator car such that the height deviation between the car threshold and the shaft threshold is minimized.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPROVING ELEVATOR MAINTAINABILITY
The invention relates to a method and a device for improving elevator maintainability, comprising: selecting an efficient point; performing technical measurement to obtain a load−current changing curve and a current−time changing curve of the car; evaluating a mean value of the curve; generating a threshold; and counting to generate an inevitable remaining life Δt.sub.21, wherein Δt.sub.21=t.sub.2−t.sub.1. The inevitable remaining life Δt.sub.21 is determined by the abnormal time threshold t.sub.1 and the defect time threshold t.sub.2, and is only related to the load−current changing curve and the current−time changing curve of the car, so that a user is capable of directly predicting the inevitable remaining life of the elevator, which presents excessive or missing maintenance, saves a maintenance industry, and belongs to the category of original intelligence.
Electronic information plate of an elevator component
Elevator components can be equipped with an electronic information plate. The electronic information plate are associated with a particular electronic information plate that can store different properties of the associated component. The content of each electronic information plate is read manually or automatically and transmitted to a controller. The controller analyzes the received content and launches a predetermined action if the content indicates a possible mistake or a fraud.

An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator system includes a plurality of components respectively configured for at least one function during operation of the elevator system. A plurality of sensors are each associated with at least one of the components. Each sensor senses at least one characteristic of an actual performance of an associated one of the components. A processor is configured to receive respective indications from the sensors regarding the actual performance of the associated components, determine a difference between the actual performance and a desired performance of any of the components based on the respective indications, and determine an adjustment to the operation of the elevator system based upon the determined difference.

The mobile terminal device is configured to generate to the elevator control unit at least one control signal comprising an instruction to activate the plurality of the signalization elements according to a predetermined activation pattern. The elevator control unit is configured to activate the plurality of the signalization elements according to the predetermined activation pattern for generating inspection information in response to receiving the at least one control signal. The invention relates also to for generating inspection information of a plurality of signalization elements of an elevator system.
Elevator inspection operation device
An elevator inspection operation apparatus for performing an inspection operation for a car in a pit of an elevator includes: an operation mode selector switch configured to switch an operation mode between a normal operation and the inspection operation; a return switch, which is provided outside the pit of the elevator, and is to be manipulated when the operation mode is to be switched from the inspection operation to the normal operation; and a latching relay configured to be latched to an inspection operation side when the operation mode has been switched from the normal operation to the inspection operation by the operation mode selector switch, and to maintain a latched state until the return switch is manipulated when the operation mode has been switched from the inspection operation to the normal operation by the operation mode selector switch.

Multi-function stairlift connectivity includes a stairlift data collection system having data collection devices communicatively connected to a main controller. Such data collection devices may include sensors, switches, controllers, detectors, control boards, and location detectors providing data and settings in a stairlift (e.g., diagnostic information, system status data, faults, drive performance data). A communication module receives collected stairlift data and communicates wirelessly with a remote communication device. Waypoint detection may include stairlift carriage position detection employing electrical contacts on a stairlift carriage. Carriage position can be determined when the carriage stops at or passes a waypoint marker that includes electrical contacts connected to a waypoint element possessing a detectable electromagnetic characteristic (e.g., an identifiable resistive value). Where resistive value are used, waypoint locations can be determined by using a different resistive value for each waypoint.
System and method for monitoring sheave bearing condition
This disclosure relates to a system and method for monitoring a sheave bearing condition, and in particular relates to passenger conveyer systems, such as elevator systems, employing the system and method. An example passenger conveyer system includes a suspension member, and a sheave configured to rotate on a bearing. The suspension member is wrapped around at least a portion of the sheave. Further, the system includes a sensor mounted adjacent an end of the suspension member, and a controller configured to determine a condition of the bearing based on an output of the sensor.
