Disclosed is an elevator system, including a gateway configured to: receive, from an elevator car controller of an elevator car, car controller data for the elevator car that includes a car positional log of the elevator car; receive, from a beacon mounted to the elevator car, car operational data for the elevator car that includes car and door data representing car and door events; and transmit, to one of an elevator management center and a cloud service, a combination of the car controller data and the car operational data to identify an alert condition and a position of the elevator car during the alert condition, wherein the gateway or the one of the elevator management center and the cloud service is configured to stitch together the car controller data and the car operational data to identify the alert condition and position of the elevator car during the alert condition.

A method for commissioning a communication gateway with a portable device in a transportation system includes the steps of: establishing a communication connection from the portable device to the communication gateway of the transportation system; transmitting configuration data from the portable device to the communication gateway using the established communication connection, wherein the configuration data includes a gateway identifier identifying the transportation system; establishing a further communication connection from the communication gateway to a server unit using the configuration data; and initiating a communication gateway software deployment from the server unit to the communication gateway using the established further communication connection for commissioning the communication gateway in the transportation system.
SECURITY DEVICE FOR BUILDING-RELATED PASSENGER CONVEYOR SYSTEM
A security device for a building-related passenger transport system includes a microcontroller having a memory, a processor and a communication interface. A security module is stored in the memory and, when it is executed on the processor, receives security-relevant signals from components of the passenger conveyor system, evaluates the signals with regard to a security problem and transmits a warning signal to a controller of the passenger conveyor system in the event of a security problem. An update module is stored in the memory and, when it is executed on the processor, receives a software package via the communication interface and updates at least parts of the security module with the software package. The microcontroller is configured such that the security module is able to be amended only by the update module.
Rescue/evacuation self-testing system for traction elevators
A monitoring system for controlling self-testing of a traction elevator includes a self-testing process module in communication with a three-phase AC back-up battery power supply. The self-testing process module includes a processor configured to initiate and control a series of steps for performing measurements of the three-phase AC back-up battery power supply, including measurements of the battery supply during a simulated emergency situation (“rescue/evacuation”). The processor is programmed to initiate testing on a defined schedule and transmit test results to a maintenance system (including remotely-located systems) on a routine basis. The monitoring system also includes a display unit providing visual information regarding the status of self-testing processes and their results and a communications unit for transmitting test results to a remote maintenance controller.

The method comprising: detecting pressure data for at least one or more locations along a passageway using a pressure sensor; comparing the pressure data to benchmark pressure data for each of the one or more locations; determining a pressure data variance at a first location of the one or more locations in response to the pressure data and the benchmark pressure data; and identifying an identity of a car stop location door system located at the first location when the pressure data variance is greater than a selected tolerance.
