PEST REPELLERS
20220061307 · 2022-03-03 ·

A pest repeller comprises a pest detector operable to detect the presence of a pest and then to generate an internal trigger signal, a speaker operable to produce ultrasound, and an antenna operable to transmit wirelessly and to receive wirelessly external trigger signals. A controller is configured to receive internal trigger signals from the pest detector and to receive external trigger signals from the antenna. Upon receiving an internal trigger signal, the controller is configured to provide a speaker drive signal to drive the speaker to produce the ultrasound, to generate an external trigger signal and to provide the external trigger signal to the antenna for transmission of the external trigger signal. Upon receiving an external trigger signal, the controller is configured to provide a speaker drive signal to drive the speaker to produce the ultrasound.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DISPERSING INSECTS

Devices and methods for disrupting flying insect activity of one or more flying insects within a zone are provided. One or more first acoustic signals from a first acoustic source are emitted, thereby causing the one or more flying insects to depart the zone. Each respective acoustic signal in the one or more first acoustic signals comprises a corresponding smooth periodic oscillation from the first acoustic source. Each corresponding smooth periodic oscillation independently has a frequency between 250 Hz and 1500 Hz.

Pet Deterrent Device
20210282387 · 2021-09-16 ·

A deterrent device for training a pet to avoid a specific area. The deterrent device is a motion detection activated ultrasonic device that utilizes a high frequency sound to deter cats, dogs, and other pets from entering a protected area. The deterrent device comprises an ultrasonic transducer activated by a motion detector. Once motion is detected, the ultrasonic transducer emits ultrasound at a frequency of between 35-45 kHz to repel an animal from a protected area such as, a countertop, furniture, or a room. A frequency adjustment component allows a user to adjust the frequency based on the specific animal to be deterred. The deterrent device may be powered by alternating current or by battery.

Systems and methods for reducing the risks of bird strike
10986831 · 2021-04-27 · ·

A combination of a visual warning cue and a conspicuous auditory warning cue acts synergistically to reduce bird strike frequency against a man-made structure. Methods and systems are described for providing said combination of warning cues when a bird is within a warning zone. The auditory warning cue entails at least two separate sonic pulses within one second when the bird is within the warning zone, and is defined by an intensity-weighted frequency average of between 6 kHz and 18 kHz, and an intensity at a location within the warning zone of at least 70 decibels.
