20240067497 · 2024-02-29 ·

An elevator safety includes a barrier (108) for installation on an external upper surface (106) of an elevator car (102) and a sensor. The sensor is configured to detect a change in the barrier (108) and the system is configured to produce a safety signal when a change in the barrier (108) is detected by the sensor. The sensor may be configured to detect a movement of at least part (316; 426; 548) of the barrier (108). The sensor may be configured to detect a change in the load applied to at least part (626; 726) of the barrier (108). The sensor may be configured to detect a change in resistance in at least part of the barrier (108).

Elevator car pivotable balustrade and maintenance method for an elevator

An elevator includes a car movable in an elevator shaft and a counterweight movable together with the car in the elevator shaft in a direction of movement opposite to the direction of movement of the car. The car has a car roof and a balustrade arranged on the car roof at a side of the car facing toward the counterweight. The balustrade can be pivoted between a first fall protection position and a second fall protection position. In each of these fall protection positions the balustrade can be secured in order to prevent unintended movement of the balustrade. In the first fall protection position, the balustrade has an inclined orientation. In the second fall protection position, the balustrade has a vertical orientation.

An elevator shaft access safety device for an elevator shaft access provided with landing doors extending thereacross, the landing doors being flanked by substantially vertical first and second jambs, the elevator shaft access safety device being securable to the first and second jambs while the landing doors remain closed.

ELEVATOR SAFETY ARRANGEMENT AND ELEVATOR

The invention relates to an elevator safety arrangement comprising a hoistway; an elevator car mounted in the hoistway; a working platform on top of the elevator car; at least one movable balustrade, which is movable between a substantially upright position and a substantially horizontal position; and a sensing arrangement for sensing position of the movable balustrade, said sensing arrangement for sensing position of the movable balustrade comprising at least one sensor for sensing position of the balustrade. Said at least one sensor for sensing position of the balustrade comprises a sensor body and a sensor head, and the sensor head is movable relative to the sensor body, and the balustrade is arranged to move the sensor head when pivoted, the balustrade comprising a cam member pivotal together with the balustrade, the cam member comprising one or more protrusions and depressions, and the sensor head is placed against the cam member for being actuated by aid of at least one protrusion and at least one depression of the cam member.

An elevator car has a pivotable balustrade mounted on a roof of the elevator car and which can be pivoted between a folded-down position and an erected position. To secure the erected position, the balustrade has a locking mechanism by which the balustrade can be locked via a latching connection during a pivoting movement to produce the erected position. The balustrade includes a two-part post with a lower post part and an upper post part, the upper post part being pivotably fastened to the lower post part and on which the locking mechanism is arranged. A latching element of the locking mechanism is mounted vertically on the lower post part so as to be displaceable to a limited degree. The locking mechanism further has an actuating element in the form of a foot pedal or a lever for unlocking the locking position.

ELEVATOR SAFETY ARRANGEMENT AND ELEVATOR

The invention relates to an elevator safety arrangement comprising a hoistway; an elevator car mounted in the hoistway; a working platform mounted on top of the roof the elevator car; at least one sensing arrangement for sensing load of the working platform and at least one balustrade. Said balustrade is mounted on the working platform such that its weight is carried by the working platform, and in that it is movable between a substantially upright position and a substantially horizontal position.

ELEVATOR ARRANGEMENT WITH LOW HEADROOM

The invention relates to an elevator arrangement comprising an elevator with an elevator a control system, a safety system and an inspection or maintenance mode, which elevator having an elevator car arranged to run up and down in an elevator shaft along guide rails, and which elevator car is equipped with a roof. The roof of the elevator car is arranged to open outwards from the elevator car in order to form a natural safe space inside the elevator car at least during inspection and maintenance tasks.

Elevator car upper handrail apparatus

An elevator car upper handrail apparatus, in which a connecting body is provided between respective ends of first and second side handrails on a landing side. The connecting body includes an opening/closing member which is rotatable between a closed position, in which a path for movement of a worker from a landing to a car upper surface is closed by the opening/closing member, and an open position, in which the path for movement is opened by the opening/closing member. The opening/closing member is configured to return automatically to the closed position. When the opening/closing member is in the closed position, the connecting body transmits an external force applied to one of the first and second side handrails in the width direction of a car to the other of the first and second side handrails.

ELEVATOR CAR WITH A FOLDABLE BALUSTRADE AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR AN ELEVATOR INSTALLATION HAVING SUCH AN ELEVATOR CAR

An elevator car has at least one balustrade attached to a roof of the elevator car, which balustrade can be pivoted about a rotation axis between a folded-down position, in which the balustrade is arranged essentially horizontally, and a raised position, in which the balustrade is arranged essentially vertically. The balustrade is mechanically coupled to a 3-state switch, which switch can adopt three different switching states. The balustrade and the 3-state switch thus cooperate such that the 3-state switch adopts a first switching state when the balustrade is in the folded-down position, the 3-state switch adopts a second switching state when the balustrade is in the raised position, and the 3-state switch adopts a third switching state when the balustrade is in neither the folded-down position nor the raised position.
