System and method for priority actuation
A system and method for priority actuation is provided. The system and method comprise a priority button. An access to the priority button is provided to an authorized user. The authorized user is enabled to initiate a priority actuation trigger for a priority service in at least one automated access system using the priority button. The automated access system is operably coupled to at least one server via a communication gateway. The server comprises a database of all authorized users of a priority service. Triggering the priority button results in initiating the priority actuation trigger for sending an authentication information of the authorized user to the server. The server authenticates the user as the authorized user enabled to access the priority service and provides the user with the priority service for the at least one automated access system.
ELEVATOR GROUP MANAGEMENT FOR OCCUPANT EVACUATION
A method of operating a building elevator system includes determining that an evacuation call is active for an evacuation floor serviced by a first elevator group. A transfer floor serviced by the first elevator group is set as an evacuation discharge floor of the first elevator group. A second elevator group is requested to enter an evacuation mode of operation. The second elevator group is operable to service the transfer floor and a discharge floor. The transfer floor is set as the evacuation floor of the second elevator group. Control of the first elevator group and the second elevator group is coordinated to evacuate one or more occupants from the evacuation floor serviced by the first elevator group to the discharge floor serviced by the second elevator group.
VERIFYING CONFIGURATION PARAMETER CHANGES IN AN ELEVATOR SAFETY SYSTEM
A method of verifying configuration parameter changes in an elevator safety system includes detecting (100) a change in one or more of the configuration parameters stored in the memory; putting (102) the elevator system into an out-of-service mode; carrying out (104) a functional test of the elevator safety system to verify an appropriate safety action; and then putting (108) the elevator system back into an in-service mode.
Evacuation of buildings with elevator systems
During an evacuation situation in a building that is equipped with an elevator system and in which a plurality of fixed point markers are arranged at defined sites, an escape route is transmitted to a person by means of a mobile device. The fixed point markers store data that can be received by the mobile device. An instantaneous position of the mobile device can be determined when the mobile device uses data received from a fixed point marker to access a database in which the data is linked to a site of the fixed point marker. The ascertainment of the escape route to a destination is based on the instantaneous position of the mobile device. The person is registered on reaching the destination when the mobile device is detected at the destination.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING EVACUATION STRATEGY USING OCCUPANT EVACUATION ELEVATOR, AND METHOD THEREOF
An evacuation strategy support system using an occupant evacuation elevator (OEE) capable of supporting an evacuation strategy so that information on a number of occupants is recognized by real-time occupant monitoring and thus occupants on each floor may use stairs and the occupant evacuation elevator to safely and quickly evacuate when a disaster situation occurs in a skyscraper and thus the occupants use the occupant evacuation elevator to evacuate, capable of monitoring occupant information on each floor in real time and supporting calculation of an evacuation capacity of the occupant evacuation elevator to establish an evacuation strategy to allow safe evacuation and early reaction in an overall skyscraper to be performed, and capable of optimizing the calculation of the evacuation capacity of the occupant evacuation elevator applicable to an initial stage of a design of the skyscraper, and a method thereof are provided.
SAFETY INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR OCCUPANT EVACUATION ELEVATOR, AND METHOD THEREOF
A safety inspection system of an occupant evacuation elevator capable of having a laser range finder installed on each of an elevator rope and an elevator guide rail of the occupant evacuation elevator of a skyscraper and checking a length and verticality of each of the elevator rope and the elevator guide rail measured from the laser range finder to monitor slight distortion or location variation in real time, and accordingly, capable of easily performing a safety inspection of the occupant evacuation elevator, capable of performing the safety inspection of the occupant evacuation elevator in real time to operate the occupant evacuation elevator again in an operation mode of the occupant evacuation elevator according to an occurrence of a disaster situation in the skyscraper, and accordingly, capable of safely and quickly evacuating occupants and a method thereof are provided.
EMERGENCY MONITORING SYSTEMS FOR ELEVATORS
Elevator systems and methods for displaying information associated with the elevator systems. The systems including an elevator car located within an elevator shaft, a display located within the elevator car, and an elevator emergency monitoring system having an elevator shaft monitoring device mounted on the elevator car and configured to capture an image of the elevator shaft. The elevator car is operable in an emergency mode of operation such that an image captured by the elevator shaft monitoring device is displayed on the display within the elevator car.
Systems for monitoring smoke and heat in elevator hoistways
An integrated monitoring panel for an elevator hoistway fire detection system is provided. The system includes a power supply, fault indicators for power and smoke detection, and alarm indicators for smoke and linear heat detection. The panel is configured to receive a terminus of a linear heat detection cable and a terminus of a smoke alarm detection piping. The panel includes a smoke detection test port that may receive simulated smoke and is connected to another terminus of the smoke alarm detection piping. A linear heat detection test switch triggers a test mode and interacts with the linear heat detection cable. During the test mode, the system circulates simulated smoke, analyzes air quality and electrical conditions, and activates corresponding alarm indicators. The performance of these functionalities helps determine whether the system meets operational criteria.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE EVACUATION OF BUILDINGS
A method and a system for the evacuation of buildings providing an elevator system includes at least one elevator car and an elevator shaft. The system includes a device to detect an incident or a device to receive an emergency signal in this regard, a device for determining the floor of this incident, and at least one sealing element (positioned in the elevator shaft and constructed to seal the elevator shaft, so that the elevator shaft is divided in at least two sections.
