Method and system of reducing false actuation of safety brakes in elevator system

A method of avoiding unnecessary safety brake actuation in an elevator system. The method includes determining whether a true overspeed or overacceleration condition of an elevator car is present. The method also includes activating the electronic safety actuator if a true overspeed or overacceleration condition of the elevator car.

Elevator systems are provided. The elevator systems include a traveling component movable along a guide rail within an elevator shaft, the traveling component comprising a roller guide moveably engageable with the guide rail and an overspeed safety system. The overspeed safety system includes an actuator module operably coupled to the roller guide and a safety brake operably connected to the actuator module by a connecting link, wherein a safety brake element of the safety brake is operable to engage with the guide rail to stop movement of the traveling component.

NON-INTRUSIVE DATA ANALYTICS SYSTEM FOR ADAPTIVE INTELLIGENT CONDITION MONITORING OF LIFTS

A lift operation safety analysis system with a controller arranged to: receive operation data of a lift; and process the operation data using an artificial intelligence based processing model to determine presence or otherwise of potential fault condition of the lift. The operation data processing system may be further operably connected with a database for storing data at the database and/or retrieving data from the database.

SENSOR NETWORK FOR A PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM

A passenger transport system sensor network has a master unit, a signal-transferring apparatus, and a plurality of sensor nodes each having at least one sensor sensing a physical measurement variable and transferring the sensed variable to the master unit via the signal-transferring apparatus. A sensor-identifying module in the master unit determines the identity of the sensors from information, stored in a database, of: a first information type about reference measurement results to be typically provided by a particular sensor under already known conditions; a second information type about the identity of a sensor node containing the particular sensor, the sensor node having a plurality of different sensors or a plurality of identical sensors in different configurations; and/or a third information type about a configuration of a sensor node holding the particular sensor, which configuration was defined in advance. Sensor identities and installation locations can be determined in an automated manner.
