An elevator includes an elevator motor; a motor drive for the elevator motor having a frequency converter comprising a rectifier bridge, an inverter bridge and a DC link in between, which frequency converter is controlled via a controller, the rectifier bridge being connected to AC mains via three feed lines comprising chokes, and the rectifier bridge being realised via controllable semiconductor switches; a contactor being located between the feed lines and AC mains; a backup power supply at least for emergency drive operation; and an emergency control for performing an automatic emergency drive. The backup power supply is via a first switch connectable with only a first of said feed lines. A second and/or third of the feed lines is, via a second switch, connectable as power supply to a car door arrangement, the first switch, as well as the second switch, are controlled by the emergency control, and the emergency control is connected to a manual drive circuit having a manual drive switch for a manual rescue drive.

Elevator car parking brake

According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator car parking brake. An operating fork is configured to move within a housing in a direction perpendicular to an end surface of a guide rail in response to operating an actuator. When the actuator is operated to move the operating fork within the housing towards the guide rail to achieve a braking state, the operating fork is configured to push braking wedges towards side surfaces of the guide rail to contact the side surfaces. When the actuator is operated to move the operating fork within the housing away from the guide rail to achieve a brake release state, detaching means are configured to pull the braking wedges away from the side surfaces of the guide rail.

Fall protection for a lift, as well as a lift with fall protection
11572252 · 2023-02-07 ·

A lift has a guide, a lift cage which is movable along the guide, lift means for moving the lift cage along the guide, and a fall protection attached to the lift cage provided with coupling pawl (27) which triggers the fall protection device in the event of a downward movement speed of the lift cage, exceeds maximum value. The fall protection has two catches (37a), each of which is provided with a comb (45). These combs are coupled to one another such that when one of the catches comes into action the comb of this catch is activated and thereby activates the comb of the other catch which is the coupling pin (27) of this other capture and will bring this other catch into effect.

A brake device for a traveling body of an elevator installation brakes on a rail having first and second braking profiles. The brake device includes a forcing element and a counter-support. The forcing element has first and second forcing working faces for acting on the first and second profiles respectively. The counter-support has a first counter-support working face for acting on the first profile, and a second counter-support working face for acting on the second profile. The first forcing working face and the first counter-support working face are arranged opposite one another at the first profile and the second forcing working face and the second counter-support working face are arranged opposite one another at the second profile. The forcing element is spread to bring the first forcing working face into contact with the first profile and the second forcing working face into contact with the second profile.

Caliper brake for an elevator system used as a holding and safety brake
11608247 · 2023-03-21 · ·

An elevator system caliper brake includes first and second brake levers each with a brake pad wherein the brake levers move the brake pads relative to one another along an actuation axis. The first brake lever is rotatably mounted at a stationary first mounting point at a housing of the brake, and the second brake lever is rotatably mounted at a second mounting point on an intermediate lever that is rotatably mounted at the brake housing. A tension element can be moved approximately parallel to an actuation axis and is connected to the brake levers at mounting points between the respective brake pads and the brake lever mounting points. A closing spring moves the first and second brake levers to decrease the distance between the brake pads and a linear spindle drive connected to the intermediate lever selectively counteracts the closing spring to increase the distance between the brake pads.
