Elevator system with guide rail bracket

An exemplary door frame assembly that is useful in an elevator system includes a plurality of door frame members including a header, a sill and a plurality of jambs. The door frame members are configured to be secured into a desired position along a hoistway. At least one guide rail bracket is supported by at least one of the door frame members. The guide rail bracket is moveable relative to the door frame member between a handling position in which the guide rail bracket is generally parallel to at least one of the header or the sill and a deployed position in which the guide rail bracket is generally perpendicular to the at least one of the header or sill.

The invention concerns an elevator guide rail bracket for securing a guide rail section to a base via a counterpart, the guide rail bracket comprising a face, a pair of fixed claws arranged into the face, and a fastening part with fastening elements. The claws form a claw coupling with the guide rail section. The claw coupling has a fitting position and a retaining position. The guide rail bracket is attached to the guide rail section by fitting the guide rail section between the claws and turning the guide rail bracket from the fitting position to the retaining position.

ELEVATOR SAFETY DEVICE AND METHOD OF ACTIVATING AN ELEVATOR SAFETY DEVICE

An elevator safety device comprises a housing attachable to an elevator car or to an elevator counterweight of an elevator system, the housing comprising a passage for allowing a guide member to pass through. A brake shoe is attached to the housing and is located on a first side of the guide member. A support element is arranged on a second of side of the guide member, the support element extending at an angle with respect to the guide member, thereby defining a tapered region between the guide member and the support element. A movable braking element is rotatable around a rotation axis of the movable braking element. The movable braking element is, at least in an activated condition of the elevator safety device, arranged within the tapered region defined by the support element and the guide member. The movable braking element is capable of rotatingly moving along the support element into a wedged condition between the support element and the guide member. The movable braking element has, in a plane that is oriented perpendicularly to the rotation axis, a non-circular cross-section, which is defined by a closed curve having a constant width.

Elevator arrangement and method of constructing elevator

The invention relates to an elevator arrangement comprising an elevator shaft wall; and a guide rail line extending vertically at a distance from the shaft wall, the guide rail line being fixed to said wall with plurality of fixing brackets; and an elevator car vertically movable along at least said guide rail line; and a hoisting machine mounted at a first vertical level between the shaft wall and the guide rail line; and a hoisting roping movable with said hoisting machine, and connected to the elevator car; wherein the guide rail line extends in vertical direction past the hoisting machine the upper end of the guide rail line being higher than said hoisting machine, and said plurality of fixing brackets comprises one or more first fixing brackets higher than said hoisting machine, by which one or more first fixing brackets the portion of the guide rail line which portion is higher than said hoisting machine is fixed to the shaft wall; and wherein the hoisting machine comprising a motor and a rotatable drive wheel. The elevator arrangement comprises an elongated hoisting passage extending vertically between the shaft wall and the guide rail line inside which hoisting passage the hoisting machine fits to be hoisted, each said first fixing bracket being shaped to circumvent the hoisting passage. The invention also relates to a method of constructing an elevator.

An elevator system has an installation bracket fixed in an aligned manner in a region of a door-side shaft wall of an elevator shaft, wherein guide rails for guiding an elevator car arranged in the elevator shaft are fixed on the installation bracket. The installation bracket is fixed exclusively by at least one floor fixing section, wherein the at least one floor fixing section is fixed on a horizontal surface of the floor.

Method and an arrangement for aligning elevator guide rails

A method and arrangement for aligning elevator guide rails includes a measuring step and a separate aligning step. The alignment of guide rails supported with adjustable fastening members in the shaft is measured in several measurement points along the height of the guide rail line based on at least one reference line provided in the vicinity of the guide rails. The measurement results are stored into a memory. The guide rails are aligned based on the measurement results stored in the memory. The aligning step is carried out after the measurement results of all measurement points have been stored in the memory.
