Elevator strip bonded end termination
An elevator end termination includes a base member including a proximal end and a distal end and defining an internal belt cavity opening at the proximal end of the base member, an elevator belt comprising an outer jacket and an internal load carrier of a substantially rectangular cross-section, wherein the internal load carrier is exposed on an end of the elevator belt, in which a portion of the elevator belt end is positioned in the belt cavity, and an adhesive provided in the belt cavity at least between opposite sides of the elevator belt and opposing interior walls of the base member, in which the elevator belt is adhesively bonded to the base member.
Multi-wedge end termination for an elevator system
An end termination for an elevator system including at least two opposing outer plates connected to one another, at least two opposing guiding elements held between the outer plates, and at least two opposing wedges extending between the guiding elements and configured to clamp an elevator belt therebetween. Upon application of a belt pull force to the elevator belt, the wedges are deformed towards one another to increase a clamping force on the elevator belt.
ELEVATOR TERMINATION ASSEMBLY THAT PROVIDES AN INDICATION OF ELEVATOR CAR LOAD
An illustrative example assembly for determining a load on an elevator car includes a plurality of terminations respectively configured for securing an end of a load bearing member. A plurality of strain gages are respectively secured to a portion of respective ones of the plurality of terminations so that each of the terminations includes at least one of the strain gages. A load determining processor receives indications from the plurality of strain gages and determines a load on the elevator car based on the received indications.
Belt end termination with a cone clamp
An end termination for an elevator system may include an outer clamping member, an inner clamping member having a dimension in a first plane that is greater than a dimension in a second plane, the first plane being spaced from the second plane along a longitudinal axis of the end termination, the inner clamping member coaxially disposed in the outer clamping member, a housing holding the inner clamping member and the outer clamping member therein, and a tightening arrangement to clamp a belt between the inner clamping member and the outer clamping member.
Rope terminal assembly and a hoisting apparatus
A rope terminal assembly of a hoisting apparatus includes a first compression member having a first contact face and a second compression member having a second contact face. The compression members are placed such that their contact faces face each other and delimit between them a gap. A belt-shaped rope having a thermoplastic polymer coating forming the outer surface of the rope is placed in the gap, the contact faces of the compression members compressing against opposite wide sides of the belt-shaped rope. One or both of the compression members includes on the contact face thereof, and/or in proximity of the contact face thereof, one or more indentations, each indentation forming a cavity in the compression member which is in open connection with the gap and arranged to be empty when the thermoplastic polymer coating of the rope compressed by the contact face is solid, and to receive via said open connection thermoplastic polymer coating of the rope flowing from the gap pushed by the compression when the thermoplastic polymer coating melts. An elevator is provided with the rope terminal assembly.
Rope terminal arrangement and an elevator
The invention relates to a rope terminal arrangement of an elevator, comprising compression means comprising two compression members delimiting a rope gap between them, the compression members being arranged to compress a rope end of a belt-shaped rope placed in the rope gap for blocking movement of the rope end in its longitudinal direction relative to the compression members; and an electrical circuit comprising a contact switch, which is switchable between a first and second state, in particular between open and closed state; and the contact switch being mounted on one of the rope end and a compression member, and the arrangement, in particular said other of said rope end and a compression member, is provided with actuating means arranged to move together with the other of said rope end and a compression member relative to said one of said rope end and a compression member and to actuate the contact switch to switch its state when the rope end moves in its longitudinal direction relative to the compression member, whereby movement of the rope end in its longitudinal direction relative to the compression member is arranged to cause state change of the electrical circuit; and a monitoring means arranged to monitor state of the circuit and to trigger one or more actions in response to state change of the circuit. The invention also relates to an elevator implementing said rope terminal arrangement.
Elevator connector with angled interface
A connector assembly includes a connector body and a suspension member. The suspension member extends along a center axis and comprises a plurality of tension members encased in a jacket. The suspension member has one end received within the connector body, and this one end has an end face extending at an angle relative to the center axis with ends of the plurality of tension members being exposed. A plurality of contact members are supported within the connector body, and each contact member contacts an exposed end face of at least one tension member to establish electrically conductive connections with the plurality of tension members.
Rope terminal assembly and an elevator
The invention relates to a rope terminal assembly of an elevator fixing an elevator rope to a fixing base such as an elevator unit, said elevator being suitable for transporting passengers and/or goods, which assembly comprises, an elevator rope, whose width is larger than its thickness in a rope transverse direction, with at least one end having an end face, one or more wedge elements, a wedge housing, the rope terminal assembly comprising a rope gap through which said elevator rope passes and said wedge element is arranged to wedge between said rope and said wedge housing thus locking said elevator rope in the gap, and said wedge housing is a one piece structure of predetermined size made from a hollow tube, and an elevator.
Wedge clamp type termination for elevator tension member
A tension member termination device optimized for terminating flat tension members having compressible outer coatings, the device including a wedge and a socket each having cooperating surfaces positioned at a predetermined angle for clamping the tension member therebetween. The angle reliably secures the tension member while avoiding deleterious pressure and stress upon the tension member. The invention also provides a safety clamp for optional use with the tension member termination device.
