SEAT FOR A STAIR LIFT
20240002192 · 2024-01-04 · ·

A seat for a stair lift includes a horizontal seat, a vertical back rest, and two arm rests. Each arm rest is connected to the seat by a support bracket, and each arm rest is pivotable between folded-down and a folded-up positions. The arm rest is pivotably connected about a pivot axis to the support bracket and to a carrying beam having upper and lower sides. The upper side supports an arm of the sitting person. The arm rest is designed such that lower and upper tangents of the carrying beam extend at the same side of the pivot axis. The lower tangent is at a radial distance from the pivot axis, such that in the folded-up position the carrying beam extends from the vertical plane through the pivot axis in the vertical space behind the vertical plane towards and beyond the back side edge of the seat part.

Folding system for stairlift

A foldable stairlift includes a rail, a carrier that drives along the rail and a chair supported by the carrier. The chair and carrier define a stairlift unit. The chair includes a base body coupled to the carrier, a foldable seat body coupled to the base body, a foldable leg body coupled to the seat body, a foldable footrest body coupled to the leg body, a back rest body coupled to the base body, and a foldable armrest body coupled to the backrest body. Each of the seat body, leg body, and footrest body have their own respective folding system that controls the folding and unfolding of their respective seat body, leg body, and footrest body. And each folding system is controlled by an assigned motor that operates according to a variable speed profile. A method of controlling the folding and unfolding action of the foldable stairlift includes operating the motors according to one or more speed profiles.

STAIR LIFT DEVICE

A personal stair lift device transports a handicapped or immobile individual of higher than average weight capacity up and down a stairway on a chair assembly supported on a dual rail mount assembly. The stair lift device is used on a stairway on a dual track system aligned on both sides of the stairwell, connected to dual metal pipes, and is further connected to a plurality of metal brackets, containing steel braided cables. Braided cables are connected to guide wheels that can lift heavier weight capacity individuals.

Wheelchair lift apparatus

A wheelchair lift apparatus that includes a stand that includes a pair of inclined rails; and a platform adapted to carry a wheelchair, wherein the platform includes a driving portion and a driven portion for moving the platform along the rails, wherein, when the driving portion actuates the driven portion in a first direction, the platform ascends along the rails, wherein, when the driving portion actuates the driven portion in a second and opposite direction, the platform descends along the rails.

In or relating to stairlifts

The invention provides a method and apparatus for continuously adjusting the speed of a stairlift in response to a number of operating parameters such as battery voltage and motor current draw. The method preferably further includes monitoring the speed of a reference point on a stairlift chair and comparing this with a maximum permissible speed.

Removable Under-Seat Compartment for Folding Seats and Method
20200231411 · 2020-07-23 ·

A removable under-seat compartment for folding seats that may be used as part of a stair lift and method is disclosed. A compartment bracket having rails is attached to underside of the folding seat that pivots from a horizontal position to a vertical position. The compartment has flaps that engage with rails of the bracket to enable the compartment to enable a user of the stair lift to force the compartment to slide in and out from under the seat when the user is seated on the horizontally positioned folding seat. A stop is provided on the bracket to prevent the flaps on the compartment sliding out of the rails when the seat is pivoted to the vertical position.

TOWER ELEVATING ASSEMBLY

A tower elevating assembly generally includes a platform assembly configured to move between a first elevation position and a second elevation position, a tower having a track assembly, wherein the track assembly includes first and second track portions, each being a single continuous structure, and a carriage assembly for providing support to the platform and moving within the track. A kit for a tower elevating assembly includes a platform assembly, a tower having a track assembly, and a carriage assembly configured for coupling with the platform assembly and the tower.
