Support assemblies for car operating panels including a first support member having a respective panel retention cavity and a respective bracket retention cavity, a second support member having a respective panel retention cavity and a respective bracket retention cavity, and a bracket extending between the first support member and the second support member and fixedly attached to the first and second support members at the respective bracket retention cavities. The respective panel retention cavities are each configured to receive a portion of a front panel of a car operation panel, and, when the front panel is installed into the assembly, the first support member, the second support member, and the bracket provide structural support to the front panel. The first and second support members can be formed of light diffusing material.

Elevator Door Hatch
20180105394 · 2018-04-19 ·

The present invention provides improved elevator door hatches. The elevator door hatches drop open into the elevator cab and slide at a desirable angle just underneath the elevator cab ceiling, without extending too far or too low into the interior cab space. The elevator door hatches are able to accommodate light fixtures and cabling installed into the elevator door hatches without disconnecting when the door hatches are slid underneath the elevator cab ceiling in the open position. The door hatch also allows for the drop ceiling to be mounted closer to the canopy, which increases the usable height of the elevator cab.

CAGE LIGHTING DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREFOR

In a cage lighting device for an elevator, a lighting cover includes a main cover, a first auxiliary cover opposing a first cage wall, and a second auxiliary cover opposing a second cage wall. Respective dimensions of the first and second auxiliary covers in a lengthwise direction of the lighting cover are smaller than a dimension of the main cover in the lengthwise direction of the lighting cover. By loosening a first auxiliary cover fastening tool, the first auxiliary cover becomes capable of sliding in the lengthwise direction relative to a lighting cover attachment member between a position adjacent to the main cover and a position contacting the first cage wall.

ELEVATOR CAR

An elevator car (2), which is configured for moving along a hoistway in a vertical direction, comprises a passenger compartment defining an interior space (4) surrounded by sidewalls and at least one car door, said sidewalls (62, 63, 64) and/or said car door forming at least one vertically extending corner or protrusion (7). At least one vertically extending decorative element (13, 16) is assigned to the at least one vertically extending corner or protrusion (7) and comprises at least one vertically extending lighting element (10) which is configured for illuminating the interior space 4.
