ELEVATOR COVER ASSEMBLY
An elevator cover assembly having a cover pad and a trim with openings for receiving a hanging knob inside the elevator is disclosed. The trim is a separate piece attached to the elevator cover after openings are made in the trim. The trim slits formed therein are sized and positioned to receive hanging knobs. The trim is made of a flexible material that can be deformed to broaden the openings to more easily position the openings over the knobs. A hanging knob can be a stud device attached to any wall for hanging a wall cover. The stud device comprises a mount attached to a wall, and a knob extending from the mount and extending outwardly from the wall. The knob is configured to receive an opening of the wall cover to hang the wall cover. A variety of such stud devices is provided.
SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR ELEVATOR CAR OPERATING PANEL
Support assemblies for car operating panels including a first support member having a respective panel retention cavity and a respective bracket retention cavity, a second support member having a respective panel retention cavity and a respective bracket retention cavity, and a bracket extending between the first support member and the second support member and fixedly attached to the first and second support members at the respective bracket retention cavities. The respective panel retention cavities are each configured to receive a portion of a front panel of a car operation panel, and, when the front panel is installed into the assembly, the first support member, the second support member, and the bracket provide structural support to the front panel. The first and second support members can be formed of light diffusing material.
ELEVATOR CAR WALL PANELS
Elevator car wall panel systems and methods of installation including a wall panel having at least one first panel engagement element at a first end and at least one second panel engagement element at a second end, a frame having at least one frame engagement element configured to engage with the at least one first panel engagement element to removably engage the wall panel to the frame, and a panel securing assembly configured to engage with the at least one second panel engagement element to removably secure the wall panel to the frame.
ELEVATOR CAR, ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CHECKING, MAINTAINING AND/OR REPAIRING AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
An elevator car (6) comprises at least one movable wall panel (16, 18), which is movable between a closed position, in which the at least one movable wall panel (16, 18) constitutes a portion of a sidewall of the elevator car (6), and at least one open position providing an opening (24) which allows access to areas outside the elevator from inside the elevator car (6). The at least one movable wall panel (16, 18) includes a first movable wall panel (16) constituting or supporting a car operation panel (7b).
PROTECTOR FOR AN ELEVATOR CAR
A protector (200) for an elevator car (102) includes a protective panel (202) and at least one magnet (204) mounted to the protective panel (202). The magnet (204) is configured to be attracted to an internal wall (106) of a passenger compartment (104) of an elevator car (102) so as to retain the protective panel (202) against the internal wall (106). The magnet (204) may be retained against a support (210) of the protector (200) by a retainer assembly (220). The protector (200) may further comprise an electrical device which comprises a lighting device (240) configured to emit light into the passenger compartment (104) of the elevator car (102).
LOCKING SYSTEM FOR PANELS OF AN ELEVATOR CAR AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING ACCESS TO AN ELEVATOR SHAFT FROM THE INSIDE THE CAR
A locking system for an elevator car includes a moveable panel of the elevator car moveable between an open position and a closed position, wherein the open position provides access to a region external to the elevator car. Also included is a plate operatively coupled to an exterior surface of the moveable panel. Further included is a magnetic locking member operatively coupled to an exterior surface of a fixed panel of the elevator car in communication with an electrical member, wherein the plate exerts magnetic forces with the magnetic locking member, the magnetic locking member magnetically coupled to the plate in a first electrical condition of the electrical member to maintain the moveable panel in the closed position and decoupled from the plate in a second electrical condition of the electrical member to allow the moveable panel to be moved to the open position.
ELEVATOR CAR, ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF PROVIDING ACCESS TO AN AREA OUTSIDE AN ELEVATOR CAR
