Insect infestation reduction method
A method of preventing infestation of a bed by creeping insects; said method including the application of a barrier to the legs of said bed; said barrier comprising a disc or layer of material inimical to at least a selection of said creeping insects; said disc or layer interposed between an upper end of each bed leg and the underside surface of a bed base of said bed.
INSECT BARRIER
An active barrier to termites and other insects includes a polymeric or paper substrate; and a copper-carbon matrix, wherein the copper-carbon matrix is incorporated into or is coated onto the polymeric or paper substrate. The resulting combination of the substrate and copper-carbon matrix allows for the creation of films, tapes, coated paper and fabric, or molded or formed parts that interfere with and block the passage or entry beyond the barrier of termites or other insects. Uses may be as diverse as but not limited to underlayment(s) for temporary, semi-permanent or permanent structures as well as films and barriers for walls, roofs of permanent, semi-permanent or temporary structures, or interior spaces, cabinets, or vehicles or protecting equipment, telecommunication gear, electronics or other assets that may be impacted, damaged or degraded by termite or other such insect infestation.

Apparatus and method for repelling insects
A system for repelling insects from an object (e.g., a beverage dispenser), the system including a mister device configured to generate a mist at the object; and a sensor operatively coupled to the mister device and configured to produce a sense signal when a user of the object is detected by the sensor, wherein the mister device is configured to stop generation of the mist based at least in part on the sense signal such that the user can use the object without being exposed to the mist, and wherein the mister device is further configured to restart generation of the mist once the user is no longer detected by the sensor. A method that includes generating a mist at an object; detecting a user of the object; and stopping the generating of the mist based at least in part on the detecting of the user.

MOSQUITO BREEDING PREVENTION DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A device for insertion into an open end of a length of pipe to prevent mosquitoes from entering the pipe is provided. The device includes a piece of flexible foam material having a front face, a rear face and one or more edges joining the front face to the rear face. A plurality of indentions, preferably three, are formed in the front face of the piece of flexible foam material to allow a user to quickly and easily grip the device to insert or remove it from the pipe. The piece of flexible foam material preferably comprises open cell foam sized to permit water to flow through while preventing insects from passing through. The device may be used in connection with a system to prevent mosquitoes from entering into a rain gutter drain extension or a rain barrel system.

SENSOR SUPPORT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods, apparatus and systems that relate to a sensor bracket, a sensor assembly that includes the sensor bracket, as well as movable objects and vehicles equipped with the sensor assembly are described. One example sensor bracket includes a bracket body having a first end and a second end. The first end of the bracket body is configured to connect to an automobile and the second end of the bracket body is configured to connect to a sensor. A first air curtain machine is positioned at the second end of the bracket body, the first air curtain machine having an air outlet that is positioned to cause air to flow from the first air curtain machine through the air outlet across a forward-facing direction of the sensor.

INSECT BARRIER SYSTEM
An insect barrier system configured for positioning about a tree trunk. The system includes a barrier member having an extending portion which includes an inner edge extending along a plane and an outer edge positioned a distance from the plane. The barrier member is configured to be positioned about the tree trunk such that the inner edge is in sealing engagement therewith and a containment area is defined between the extending portion and the tree trunk. A collection sack is configured to be positioned above the barrier member. A tunnel member having a passage therethrough is positioned such that an inlet opening thereof opens into the containment area and on outlet opening thereof opens into the collection sack.
