CONDUCTIVE TERMITE BAIT SYSTEM
The present disclosure includes a conductive termite bait device, including: a strip elongate along a first direction; a first insulative layer disposed along at least a portion of the strip; and a bait layer disposed between the first insulative layer and the strip. The bait layer may be configured to attract termites. In some embodiments, the first insulative layer and the bait layer are compressed to thereby bind the first insulative layer and the bait layer together.
FOLDABLE PITFALL BEDBUG TRAP
A trap for certain insect pests may be configured to be particularly suitable for bedbugs and take the form of a foldable pitfall bedbug trap. The pitfall trap walls extend vertically upwardly at an angle and are sufficiently rough to permit bedbugs to climb to an upper edge of the trap, whereas the inner surfaces of the pitfall trap walls have been treated with a smooth material, such as being laminated, causing bedbugs at the upper edge to fall upon initiating contact with the inner pitfall walls and their smooth characteristics. The resultant foldable pitfall bedbug trap is relatively inexpensive to produce and easily user-deployable.
AUXILIARY ANT MOAT FOR HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
An ant moat for use with a hummingbird feeder and an ant-resistant hummingbird assembly are provided. The ant moat includes a reservoir body having a base and at least one sidewall that together define a cup or container having a fluid holding region with an open top. The sidewall of the reservoir body includes a water level indicator and an oil level indicator that is positioned above the water level indicator. In use, water is added to the reservoir body up to the water level indicator, and then a layer of oil is added, on top of the water, up to the oil level indicator. The oil acts to prevent the water from evaporating which extends the time period over which the moat can effectively prevent ants from reaching the nectar access apertures in the hummingbird feeder.
Termite preferred resource compositions and methods
The present invention relates to termite preferred resource compositions and methods. In embodiments, the present invention is directed to termite preferred resource compositions including materials from a Sabal palm tree material (Sabalpalmetto; Family Arecaceae) and a pesticide toxic to one or more species of termites. In additional embodiment's, the present invention is directed to a method of creating a termite assurance program to limit termite damage to a structure including the steps of providing an initial investigation of termite detection, damage, or activity for a structure; placing a termite station comprising a housing, at least one entry point in the housing allowing for ingress and egress of a termite, and materials from a Sabal palm tree contained within the housing in an area proximate the structure, and inspecting the termite station for live termites or evidence of termite activity after it is placed.
AMBULATORY INSECT PEST-TRAPPING DEVICE
The ambulatory insect pest-trapping device includes a contact portion at which one end of an adhesive sheet is connected to one end of a walkway sheet. Another end of the adhesive sheet is arranged apart from another end of the walkway sheet. A space for housing an ambulatory insect pest B is formed between the adhesive sheet and the walkway sheet, and an entrance is formed between the other end of the adhesive sheet and the other end of the walkway sheet. The device is formed into a tapered shape such that a distance between the adhesive sheet and the walkway sheet gradually decreases in a direction from the entrance toward the contact portion.
SELECTIVE DETECTION OF BED BUGS
A device, system, and method of controlling pests are disclosed. A pest control device includes a sensor having a sensor cell and a controller. A surface of the sensor cell is coated with an agent that reacts with a targeted biochemical analyte secreted by pests. The controller is coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive sensor data from the sensor cell indicative of a rate of change in sensor mass detected on the surface of the sensor cell, determine whether the rate of change in the sensor mass based on the received sensor data exceeds a predefined threshold rate, and transmit a pest detection alert notification to a server in response to a determination that the rate of change exceeds the predetermined threshold rate.
Robotic Biocide dispenser and cleaner
The present invention is directed to a compact robotic device for spraying a biocide powder or liquid to a predetermined area for controlling the infestation by cockroaches and fleas. The compact robotic device comprises a robotic body that can autonomously travel to spray the powder or liquid. The compact robotic device comprises a cartridge containing the biocide powder, a spray head in fluid communication with the cartridge and configured to spray the powder or liquid over a surface and a pump coupled to the cartridge for affecting the flow of powder or liquid from the cartridge to the spray head.
Systems and methods for extermination of ants
Systems and methods for extermination of ants may provide for the introduction of powder insecticide directly into an ant colony to deliver maximum saturation throughout the colony chambers or tunnels. Ants within the colony may track through the insecticide, and the insecticide may contaminate the ants' food source within the colony, thereby exterminating the ants with minimal disturbance to people or animals.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND ELIMINATION OF HONEY BEE PARASITES
Automatic detection and elimination of mites through laser exposure is provided. In various embodiments, light is emitted into a target area from at least one light source. Light reflected from a target within the target area is detected by at least one photodetector. A signal is produced proportional to an intensity of the reflected light. A laser pulse is emitted into the target area by a laser emitter when the signal exceeds a predetermined threshold.
Pest Control Spray
The present disclosure relates to arthropod pest control sprays and methods of using such sprays to control arthropod pests.
