Material handler for construction site
Various disclosed embodiments include apparatuses for handling construction site materials, methods of fabricating an apparatus for handling construction site materials, and methods of moving materials at a construction site. Given by way of example only and not of limitation, a non-limiting, illustrative apparatus for handling construction site materials includes: a frame defining an opening therein at a front of the frame; a mesh configured to fit over the frame; and a sliding mechanism disposable in the frame and configured to permit materials to be loaded into and unloaded out of the frame through the opening.
SUSPENSION RING FOR MULTISTRAND LIFTING TACKLE
A suspension ring for multistrand lifting tackle comprises two parallel rectilinear legs connected to one another at their ends by arcuate connecting legs. A lower connecting leg is along a longitudinal center line of the ring, extending as a circular segment in the central region of its extent and in the two regions in which it merges into each of the two legs. The radii of the rounded portions on the inside of the ring are less than half the internal width of the ring but greater than half the diameter of the legs, and the central region in the form of a circular segment is connected at its ends to the transitional region as a circular segment to the adjacent leg via a rectilinear intermediate segment of the connecting leg. An angle of the intermediate segment ranges from 50 to 75 to the longitudinal center line of the ring.
Hook and chain assemblies and methods of making such
The present disclosure is directed to hook and chain assemblies, including those suitable for use in food processing environments. The chain passes through a hook body, where it is secured by a retaining pin when under tension or load. The chain can be quickly and easily removed for servicing, cleaning, and sanitation of the hook body.
Lifting element connection device
A lifting element connection device for connecting a lifting element suspended from a cable to a sling element. The lifting element connection device includes a top surface having at least one angled portion which guides the lifting element towards a receiving area, and a lifting element receiving portion which holds the sling element, receives the lifting element from the receiving area, and provides a connection between the lifting element and the sling element when the lifting element is positioned in the lifting element receiving portion.
COMPOSITE ELONGATED BODY
The present invention relates to a composite elongated body (3), comprising high performance polyethylene HIPPE filaments (2) having a tenacity of at least 0.6 N/tex and a polymeric composition throughout (10) the composite elongated body, wherein the polymeric composition comprises a thermoplastic ethylene copolymer and a lubricant; and wherein the thermoplastic ethylene copolymer is a copolymer of ethylene and wherein said polymeric composition has a peak melting temperature in the range from 40 to 140 C. measured in accordance with ASTM E794-06. The present invention further relates to a lengthy body, an article and a crane comprising the composite elongated body: a method of manufacturing a composite elongated body: a method of manufacturing a lengthy body; and use of a polymeric composition.
Chain comprising polymeric links and a spacer
The present invention relates to a chain comprising a plurality of chain links comprising a polymeric fiber and wherein said chain comprises at least one spacer having a thickness at the contact location through which loads are directly transmitted between said chain links and a ratio /=f, with being the thickness of any of the chain links at the contact location through which loads are directly transmitted between said chain links and f being in a range between 0.10 and 2.50. The invention further relates to the use said chain for storing, securing, lashing and tying down for handling and transporting cargo, in lifting and hoisting, logging, hauling and rigging, propulsion and driving, mooring, cargo-hold of an aircraft or naval ship.
DEVICE FOR MONITORING A CONSTRUCTION SITE
The invention is broadly directed to a crane mounted device for monitoring a construction site, the device comprising a housing for containing monitoring equipment, the housing configured to be releasably secured via clamping means to a hoist of the crane above an object to be lifted, the housing locatable about the hoist to have line-of-sight along the hoist and to the object to be lifted wherein, in use, a weight of the housing is wholly supported by the hoist via the clamping means while the weight of the object is transferred via the hoist directly to the crane, such that the weight of the object bypasses the housing.
METHOD FOR MAKING REBAR ARRAYS
Rebar, also referred to as reinforcing bar, is typically used to reinforce concrete to improve the tensile strength of elements made of concrete when constructing buildings, factories, bridges, nuclear power plants and other structures. There is a method of constructing an array (711) of rebars, the method comprising: automatically positioning a plurality of rebar such that they are spaced apart from one another to form an array (711); using an array interval spacing means (709) to maintain the spatial relationship of the rebar in the array; releasing the array from the array interval spacing means such that the array is placed in a target location and orientation for casting into concrete; and removing the array interval spacing means.
Apparatus for lifting and lowering manhole covers
An apparatus for lifting and lowering manhole covers is shown and described. The apparatus for lifting and lowering manhole covers includes a main beam secured to a vehicle connection support. A winch is secured along the main beam. The winch is configured to secure to a manhole cover. A support leg secured to the main beam such that the winch is positioned between the vehicle connection support and the support leg.
