SHORTENING HOOK WITH COUPLING CONNECTION
A shortening hook with a coupling connection for shortening sling chains in hangers, having a hook body which comprises an eyelet at the top for coupling to a suspension ring and at the bottom a coupling connection with a coupling slot which is delimited by two parallel side wings and is downwardly open for the suspension of a chain and in its central region comprises a hooking-in region, which realizes an upwardly open, rectilinearly extending shortening slot and on which a chain, which is coupled to the coupling connection, is hookable by way of its free end region. In each case, only a coupling slot and a shortening slot are realized on the hook body and, when the shortening hook is seen in side view, are mounted offset laterally with respect to one another.
ADJUSTABLE SLING BARS FOR SUBJECT LIFTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A sling bar assembly allows variable positioning of a sling on the sling bar assembly. Some sling bar assemblies include opposing sling bar members that are movable with respect to one another in a lateral direction. Some opposing sling bar members are repositionable between a locked position, in which movement of the sling members with respect to one another is restricted, and an unlocked position. Some sling bar assemblies include multiple sling hooks positioned on a sling bar member. Some sling bar assemblies include a biasing member that permits movement of a sling hook with respect to the sling bar assembly in the lateral direction.
Lifting assembly
The present invention is a lifting assembly to be used with a lift mechanism installed in a vehicle. The lifting assembly includes a supporting structure in the shape of a cross, with a connecting arrangement attached thereto. The connecting arrangement include apertures to which two or more cables may be engaged. The cables may further be engaged at their other ends with a shackle which is adapted to be fixedly attached to the lift mechanism. The lift mechanism, when operated, causes the supporting structure to be suspended in the shape of a sling arrangement, which can be utilized to support various types of items, including a wheelchair. The wheelchair supported in the supporting structure can be hoisted by operating the lift mechanism for storage and other purposes, as desired.

Pipe-laying vehicle with rotator platform leveling system
A self-propelled vehicle used to lay pipe sections within trenches located on sloped terrain, and a method for using it, including: an undercarriage carrying a vehicle chassis and capable of climbing sloped terrain; a rotating platform which can be maintained level relative to the sloped terrain; and a boom with an angled boom head, capable of using two independent winch cables to lift and position individual pipe sections having differing lengths and diameters. The vehicle may be used to sequentially lift two or more pipe sections, one at a time, and to swing and position the pipe sections in a trench, end-to-end.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CARRYING ELONGATE CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS
Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for carrying a plurality of elongate construction elements such as pipes. The apparatus comprises opposing side members and a joining member. Each of the side members is elongate in width and comprises one or more couplings and attachment points. The couplings are configured to receive thereat corresponding couplings of a lifting machine. The attachment points are spaced along the width of the side member and configured to receive construction element engaging members thereat. The joining member is between the side members and has a length that is adjustable to define a separation between the side members which corresponds to a length of the construction element.
