FLUE MOUNTED HOIST
A flue mounted hoist includes an anchor section for anchoring within a flue hole, and an extendable arm. A winch is provided at the end of the extendable arm for attachment to a boiler. The flue mounted hoist allows safe lifting and installation of a wall-mounted boiler by a single person.
Enclosing frame, method for mounting an enclosing frame, and use of an enclosing frame for connecting a slewing tower crane to an object
A surrounding frame can be attached to a crane tower of a tower slewing crane and can connect the tower slewing crane to an object, for example a building, having a flexurally stiff connection element and a latching element. The connection element is provided in the form of an element that horizontally supports the crane tower in the anchorage plane at two outer sides. A method of assembling the surrounding frame and a use of a surrounding frame for connecting a tower slewing crane to an object are also described.
Lifting systems
Various lifting systems are described that use one or more of the following features. A method for setting an adjustable height upper pulley on a tall structure; load transfer from a suspended load to a tall structure; fan-based stabilizer; stabilizer or horizontal load position control mechanism using a closed loop of cable and taction winch for a crane application; crane-based lifting system that uses a closed loop of lifting cable looped around a traction winch; and a stabilizer or horizontal load position control mechanism that does not need a closed loop of cable. Other embodiments are also described and claims. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING AND REMOVING PANELS
An apparatus for installing and removing glass panels and methods of using the apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a base portion, a back support structure secured to the base portion, and a glass adjustment system moveably coupled to the back support structure. Methods for using the apparatus to install and remove glass panels from, for example, ice rink boards, are also disclosed.
Long arm
Provided is a long arm supported in a cantilever manner with light weight and high rigidity. The rod 30 is formed from rods 31-33 so as to be a multi-stage telescopic configuration. The rods 32, 33 respectively have upright columns 42, 43 on the tips. The wire 11 is suspended between the tip of the rod 31 and the lead end of the arm via the top of the column 42. The wire 12 is suspended between the base of the column 42 and the lead end of the arm via the top of the column 42. The wire 22 is suspended between the top of the column 42 and the lead end of the arm via the top of the column 43. The tension generation means 50 pulls the wires 10, 20. The air pressure generation means 60 applies pressure to the inside of the rod 30.
