RAILROAD MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for using a mobile crane assembly are provided. The mobile crane assembly includes a mobile crane having a first truss assembly and a second truss assembly spaced apart and movable relative to one another. The first truss assembly and the second truss assembly are each coupled to a rail car end assembly. The mobile crane further comprises an upper gantry assembly movable along the first truss assembly and the second truss assembly. A flat cart is coupled to the rail car end assembly, and a material handling cart is received upon the flat cart and is configured to move between the flat cart and the rail car end assembly based upon input from a controller in electrical communication with the upper gantry assembly.
Lifter assembly and system for removing highway or railway bridges
A lifter assembly includes a base having a top and a bottom surface. Connectors are attached to the base extending outwardly from the bottom surface. Each of the connectors includes at least one rail wheel rotatably attached thereto. The base includes traveling wheels rotatably attached thereto. A post is attached to the base extending outwardly from the top surface to a distal end. An arm is disposed on the distal end, rotatably attached to the post, extending outwardly to a terminal end. A support is movably attached to the arm and extends outwardly to a support end. A trolley is slidably disposed on the arm and movable along the arm between the terminal end and the post. Each of the traveling wheels includes a leg pivotably attached to the base connecting the traveling wheel to the base and move the traveling wheel between a transport and a storage position.

Gantry system for replacing full trackside girders under the station platform and installing precast platform panels
A gantry system has at least one crane assembly, at least one support post, and at least one hoist. The crane assembly has a stationary base, a rotating base, and a crane arm. The rotating base is attached to both the stationary base and the crane arm in such a ways as to allow the rotating base and the crane arm to rotate while the stationary base remains stationary. The crane arm is supported on its far end by a support post. The crane assembly is configured such that the support post rests on an in-place girder. A hoist is attached and can move along the crane arm to position a railway component, such as a replacement girder and/or a precast panel.
TIE PLATE SEPARATOR AND METHOD
Present embodiments relate to an apparatus and method which separates tie plates. More specifically, and without limitation, present embodiments relate to a tie plate separator which can retrieve tie plates from a pile and separates such for placement on a feeder, such as a conveyor for sequential feeding of the tie plates.

A METHOD OF OPERATING A RAIL-GUIDED PERMANENT WAY MACHINE, AND A PERMANENT WAY MACHINE
A rail-guided permanent way machine is operated by means of a control device in such a way that at least one state variable (Z) of the permanent way machine is determined in dependence on an operating state, and the at least one state variable is compared to at least one pre-defined limit value (G.sub.W, G.sub.S) for monitoring a derailment safety of the permanent way machine. Thus, the derailment safety of the permanent way machine is determined in accordance with the current operating state and monitored. As a result, the permanent way machine has an expanded operating range and increased performance and thus increased efficiency.
Rail vehicle having crane rails for a gantry crane
The invention relates to a rail vehicle (1) having a machine frame (2) supported on on-track undercarriages (4), on both sides of which are arrangedin the longitudinal direction (3) of the rail vehiclecrane rails (8) for a mobile gantry crane (11). In this, for lifting or lowering of the gantry crane (11), a crane rail section (12) of the respective crane rail (8) is arranged to be vertically adjustable by a drive (18). In this manner, contrary to the prior art, a higher gantry crane (11) can be used without violating a given clearance profile during transfer travel.

Maintenance vehicle
A maintenance vehicle has a vehicle frame, supported on on-track undercarriages, on which are arranged two side walls extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and adjustable with respect to one another and relative to the vehicle frame in a transverse direction of the vehicle by way of drives. The vehicle is equipped with at least one load crane which is displaceable on a crane guide that extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The crane guide, designed to be elongatable in the transverse direction of the vehicle, is connected at each end to a side wall.
