DEEPWATER HOISTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A deepwater hoisting system includes a synthetic fibre rope winch assembly including a motor driven first winch and a length of synthetic fibre rope driven by said first winch. The synthetic fibre rope has an end remote from the first winch. The system further includes a steel wire winch assembly including a motor driven second winch and a length of steel wire driven by said second winch. The steel wire has an end remote from the second winch. At least the second winch is an active heave compensation motor driven winch. The system further includes a lifting block having a lifting block sheave, through which the synthetic fibre rope is run. The end of the synthetic fibre rope is connected to the end of the steel wire, so that the lifting block is suspended in a double-fall arrangement.
Fleet angle tolerant sheave
A sheave may include a body portion with a circular circumference and defining a center plane, a bore extending through the body portion and configured for receiving a shaft and allowing the body portion to rotate in the center plane, and a rope groove arranged on the circular circumference including a radiused bottom with a first end and a second end and a pair of opposing sidewalls each extending directly and tangentially from one of the first and second end and having a curved profile.

Rope wheel assembly, compensator and elevator arrangement
A rope wheel assembly of an elevator includes a frame, a plurality of rope wheels for guiding ropes of the elevator, and a plurality of bearings. The rope wheels are mounted coaxially on the frame such that they are rotatable relative to the frame as well as relative to each other. The rope wheel assembly includes a central shaft passing through the rope wheels, which central shaft is non-rotatable relative to the frame, and the rope wheel assembly includes a hollow cylinder surrounding the central shaft, the hollow cylinder being mounted on the central shaft rotatably relative to the central shaft, each said rope wheel being mounted on the cylinder rotatably relative to the cylinder. The rope wheel assembly includes a bearing axially between rope wheels that are next to each other via which bearing they are supported on each other in axial direction. A compensator and an elevator arrangement implementing the rope wheel assembly are also disclosed.
Drilling apparatus
A drilling apparatus is provided. The drilling apparatus according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: first and second moving modules; first to third drawworks for vertically moving the first and second moving modules; a wire for successively connecting the first drawwork, the first moving module, the second drawwork, the second moving module and the third drawwork; a first fixing drum positioned between the first drawwork and the first moving module so as to support the wire; and a second fixing drum positioned between the second moving module and the third drawwork so as to support the wire.

Multi-purpose Adjustable Ceiling Suspension Storage Hoist
A hoist assembly includes: a rope; a first mount having a base and a pulley attached to the base; a second mount having a base and a pulley attached to the base; a first lift pulley movably associated with the first mount with the rope; a second lift pulley moveably associated with the second mount with the rope; a pair of support straps; a bracket located on each of the first lift pulley and second lift pulley for receiving one of the pair of support straps and one or more apertures formed through a side wall of the bracket; and a lateral strap secured at a first end through the one or more apertures of the bracket of the first lift pulley and at a second end through the one or more apertures of the bracket of the second lift pulley.
Rope hoist
A rope hoist includes a rope drum mechanism easy to attach to a frame structure and clarified positioning reference. The rope drum is rotatably supported by a first support part on one end side and a second support part on another end side of the rope drum. A pair of supporting ribs having clearances with respect to a first drum support frame is provided with the first support part. A first connection member penetrates the supporting ribs and the first drum support frame in a state of both-end support. A second connection member penetrates a frame attachment portion and a second drum support frame in a state of cantilever. A support shaft couples the first support part and the second support part and is arranged on an axis passing through a position different from positions of the first connection member and the second connection member.

Top-mounted compensator for use in a motion compensation system
A bell design crown block for a top mounted compensator includes a removable, tilting sheave block mounted within the outside perimeter of a crown block yoke. An actuator installed in the crown block actuates the tilt function. No hinge adaptor is required and the sheave block does not hang past or below the crown block yoke. When used in a floating platform application, idler sheaves are mounted on the crown block yoke and an optional interface beam may be provided for the active heave cylinder head.
