Braking apparatus, elevator hoisting machine that uses same, and buffering reaction force adjusting method for a braking apparatus
In a braking apparatus, a forcing device forces a movable portion in a direction that places a friction member in contact with a rotating body. A braking force releasing device displaces the movable portion in a direction in which the friction member separates from the rotating body in opposition to the forcing device. A buffering member is disposed between a fixed portion and the movable portion, and is made of a flexible material. A deforming device deforms the buffering member by pressing the buffering member in a direction that is perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the movable portion.

BRAKE, AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A brake, which includes a frame part of the brake, an armature part movably supported on the frame part, and attached to the frame part a limit switch, the switching state of which changes when movement is exerted on the limit switch in the operating direction of the limit switch. The brake also includes a measuring pin that is movably supported on the frame part of the brake and that is separate from the armature part, which measuring pin is connected to the limit switch.

ELECTRIC WINCH DEVICE
An electric winch device includes a required braking force estimation section which estimates a required braking force required to stop a free-falling object at a position at an allowable stopping height; a braking force determination section which determines, out of an operational braking force, each of a first braking force to be borne by a braking device and a second braking force to be borne by a braking force which is generated in an electric motor due to consumption of regenerative power; and a control section which causes the braking device to apply the first braking force to a winch drum. The braking force determination section determines the first braking force to be a braking force equal to or greater than the required braking force when, at a time of stopping of the free-falling object, the operational braking force is equal to or greater than the required braking force.

Brake
The invention relates to a brake and to a method for controlling the brake. The brake comprises a base part, a braking piece movably supported on the base part, which braking piece is configured to be moved between a braking position and a releasing position, a spring, with the spring force of which the braking piece can be dropped into a braking position, a support member for limiting the initial position of the drop-out movement of the braking piece and also a controllable actuator, which is mechanically connected to the aforementioned support member and configured to displace the initial position of the drop-out movement of the braking piece with respect to the braking position.

Braking apparatus and elevator hoisting machine that uses same
In a braking apparatus, a buffering member that is formed using a flexible material is disposed between a fixed portion and a movable portion. An accommodating recess portion that accommodates and holds the buffering member is disposed on a buffering member holding portion that includes at least one of the fixed portion and the movable portion. An opening portion that communicates with an external portion of the buffering member holding portion is disposed on a portion of a side surface of the accommodating recess portion. The buffering member is removable from and insertable into the accommodating recess portion through the opening portion from a direction that is perpendicular to a direction of displacement of the movable portion.
