HOIST TRANSLATING DRUM WITH BAR SPLINE BEARING
A hoist is disclosed. In various embodiments, the hoist includes a torque tube defining a longitudinal axis and having a radially outer surface; a cable drum having a radially inner surface; and a bar spline disposed radially outward of the torque tube and radially inward of the cable drum and configured to transfer a torque from the torque tube to the cable drum.
PORTABLE HOIST
A portable hoist and a winch. The winch and hoist can be integrated in a single housing or can be attached to one another. The portable hoist provides a user with the ability to hang the portable hoist without the use of other lifting devices, cranes, or rigging and allows the user to do it in a safer manner with less man power. The portable hoist can have a safety pin configured to secure the winch hook in a secured position so as to allow the hoist to lift increased loads.
Pipelayer machine having hoisting system with pivotable fairlead
A machine includes a frame, ground-engaging elements coupled to the frame, and a hoisting system having a sideboom and a fairlead. The hoisting system also includes a hook pulley block and a hoisting cable extending through the fairlead and the hook pulley block and held in tension such that the hoisting cable couples pivoting of the fairlead to pivoting of the sideboom. The pivotable fairlead may be instrumented with position, cable loading, and cable feed sensors.
Winch and fairlead with a detachable line guide
A fairlead for use with a winch is disclosed. The fairlead includes: a self-reversing screw; a motor for driving the self-reversing screw; and a guide comprising a guide nut and a first guide side and a second guide side. The guide is driven by the self-reversing screw. As a line is coiled onto a winch drum the guide directs the line onto the winch drum. The first guide side and second guide side are detachable from the guide nut and from each other.
Motor-Driven Fairlead to Aid in Spooling or Unspooling a Line from a Winch
A fairlead for use with a winch is disclosed. The fairlead includes: a device for detecting a speed at which a line is being spooled or unspooled from the winch, a first and second roller adapted to aid in spooling or unspooling a line, a fairlead motor for driving at least the first roller, and a controller connected to the fairlead motor. The controller is in communication with the device for detecting the speed. The controller is configured to direct the fairlead motor to drive at least the first roller at a speed that maintains tension on the line as it is unspooling or spooling. Alternatively, the device measures current drawn by the fairlead motor and the controller directs the fairlead motor to drive the rollers at a speed that maintains a target current draw.
Winch for vehicle
The present disclosure discloses a winch for a vehicle including a base, a winding drum fixed on the base for winding a traction rope, a support fixed on the base, a transmission component, and a reciprocating component for driving the traction rope to reciprocate along an axial direction of the winding drum when the traction rope is wound onto or released from the winding drum. The disclosed winch enables an orderly arrangement of the traction rope when the traction rope is wound on or released from the winding drum.
Extendable pivoting winch assembly
The invention is an extendable winch assembly, that include a winch, having a drum for winding and unwinding a line and a first motor for driving the drum about a winding axis. The assembly also includes a winch mount for mounting the winch to a vehicle, the winch mount. The winch mount includes a base attached to the vehicle and extendable arm attached at one end to the base, wherein the extendable arm is configured to move the winch from a retracted position proximate the vehicle to an extended position spaced from the vehicle. The winch mount also includes a plate attached at an other end of the extendable arm, wherein the winch is attached to the plate in such a way as to allow the winch to pivot about a pivot axis perpendicular to the winding axis.
Roller towing bitt
A towing bitt assembly comprising: an arched structure defining an opening for a towing rope to run there through; a roller assembly comprising a coupling means for coupling the roller assembly to the arched structure so that the roller assembly is movable along a centre line of the arched structure; and a roller means for guiding the towing rope, the roller means being rotatable around the centre line of the arched structure.
Winch with one-way reverse tensioner
A winch is described that includes a drum, a motor and transmission, and a tensioner. The motor and transmission apply torque to the drum, thereby enabling the drum to draw in and let out a line. The tensioner is positioned adjacent to the drum, such that when the line passes between the tensioner and drum, the line is in frictional contact with the tensioner and drum. The tensioner rotates with a linear speed exceeding a linear speed of the drum as the line is let out from the drum, and rotates freely as the line is drawn onto the drum. Methods for making and using the winch are also described.
