Embodiments herein relate to a permanent magnet (PM) motor driven hoist with a motor based electromagnetic brake. The hoist includes a direct current (DC) power source, a PM motor having stator coils and a PM rotor operably coupled to a cable drum with a cable wrapped thereon. The hoist also includes a controller operably connected to the direct current power source and the PM motor, wherein the controller is configured to control the PM motor employing a method to brake the PM motor. The method includes generating control signals in the controller based on a position of the PM motor, applying a braking command signal to the PM motor to magnetically lock the PM rotor of the PM motor for a selected duration, removing the braking command signals for a second selected duration, and repeating the generating, applying, and removing until the PM motor has stopped.

A headlock lift including a base having a left column and a right column, with each column having a lower side and an upper side. A forward cross-spinning beam and a back cross-spinning beam both connect to the upper side of each column. A moveable gate having a topside, a bottom side, and a plurality of vertical poles fixably attachable to the top side and the bottom side, the moveable gate is slidably received over left and right pipes positioned parallel to the left and right columns. Two pulleys are fixed to the forward cross-spinning beam and two winches are fixed to the back cross-spinning beam. Two cables are continually disposed between the two winches and the two pulleys, with the cables each having a free operating-end attachable to the topside of the moveable gate and a captive-end attachable to a respective one of the winches.

TOWER CRANE

A tower crane under safety management and control includes a cargo boom, a spool and a pulley located on the cargo boom, a motor coupled to the spool, a hook, a 3D camera module, and a controller coupled to the 3D camera module and the motor. A tow rope of the spool rolls around the pulley and connects the hook. The 3D camera module includes a first camera facing the hook and a second camera back to the hook. The first and second cameras respectively take images, in real time. The controller obtains the images taken by the first camera when lifting a load downwards, obtains the images taken by the second camera when lifting the load upwards, detects whether there are obstacles within the images; and controls the motor reducing working speed or stopping working when there is an obstacle within the images.

Rope hoist

A rope hoist includes a rope drum mechanism easy to attach to a frame structure and clarified positioning reference. The rope drum is rotatably supported by a first support part on one end side and a second support part on another end side of the rope drum. A pair of supporting ribs having clearances with respect to a first drum support frame is provided with the first support part. A first connection member penetrates the supporting ribs and the first drum support frame in a state of both-end support. A second connection member penetrates a frame attachment portion and a second drum support frame in a state of cantilever. A support shaft couples the first support part and the second support part and is arranged on an axis passing through a position different from positions of the first connection member and the second connection member.

CONTROL UNIT FOR CONTROLLING A HOIST IN A LOAD SLIP CONDITION AND METHOD THEREOF
20190337778 · 2019-11-07 ·

The present disclosure relates to a control unit for controlling operation of a hoist in a load slip condition. The hoist may include a motor coupled to a winding drum for lifting and lowering a load. The control unit may include a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory may store processor executable instructions, which, on execution, cause the processor to operate the hoist for selectively lifting and lowering a load between a first position and a second position upon detecting a load slip condition. The processor may operate the hoist based on parameters pertaining to transport of the load. The control unit may be configured to reciprocate the load in a load slip condition to prevent overheating and failure of a motor, thereby preventing a fall of the load in a work area.
