The present invention relates to a stacker crane (2) for transporting, inserting and picking containers of biological material test tubes in/from locations (3) of a plurality of shelves (4) of a warehouse (1) for storing containers of biological material test tubes. The stacker crane (2) is able to move the containers of biological material test tubes in the three Cartesian directions x, y and z, so as to reach the locations (3), wherein the stacker (2) comprises a first carriage (21) and a second carriage (22) able to slide independently of, and to be released from, the first carriage (21) in direction y.

A stacker crane includes a first covering body covering a sliding section of a mast and an ascending and descending unit, and providing a first space extending vertically along the mast, a second covering body providing a second space extending vertically along the mast and partitioned from the first space by a first barrier, a plurality of exhaust holes that are vertically dispersed in the first barrier and cause the first space and the second space to be in communication, and an exhaust device that is attached to the mast and expels air in the second space at a portion in a vertical direction.

An automated warehouse includes: a plurality of shelves each configured to accommodate an article; a loading-and-unloading port where the article is loaded and unloaded; a stacker crane configured to convey the article between the shelves and the loading-and-unloading port; and a traveling path on which the stacker crane travels. The stacker crane includes a traveling unit including a traveling drive wheel configured to roll along the traveling path, a mast vertically provided on the traveling unit so as to overlap the traveling drive wheel when viewed from a vertical direction, and a lifting platform arranged on one side in a travel direction with respect to the mast and configured to ascend and descend along the mast.

A stacker crane that prevents an increase in facility cost while lightening a mast and transfers an article to a target position, includes a traveling carriage including a carriage driver and traveling on a track provided on a ceiling of a facility, a mast suspended from the traveling carriage, an elevating platform vertically movable and guided along the mast, a transfer conveyor to transfer an article, a stopper to fix the mast, a switch to switch a state of the mast between a fixed and released states by the stopper, in which the switch releases the fixing of the stopper to allow a lower portion of the mast to follow an upper portion of the mast in the traveling direction when the carriage driver drives the traveler, the stopper fixes the mast when the carriage driver stops the traveling carriage.

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for determining an efficient hydraulic pump speed of a hydraulic pump configured for use with a hydraulic system of a material handling vehicle having a fork assembly configured to perform a hydraulic function on a load on the fork assembly. In some configurations, the systems and methods may comprise measuring a height of the fork assembly using a height sensor. The systems and methods may further comprise measuring a temperature of hydraulic oil within the hydraulic system using a temperature sensor. The systems and methods may further comprise measuring a weight of the load using a weight sensor. The systems and methods may further comprise determining a hydraulic pump speed based on at least one of the height of the fork assembly, the temperature of the hydraulic oil, and the weight of the load.

A stocker system includes an operation controller to control operation of stacker cranes in a plurality of stockers, a maintenance room provided between adjacent stockers to allow entry of both stacker cranes in the adjacent stockers and capable of accommodating at least one of the stacker cranes, and an identifier to identify which of the stacker cranes in the adjacent stockers is the stacker crane accommodated in the maintenance room. The operation controller restricts operation of the stacker crane identified by the identifier.

A transportation apparatus includes a delivering device, an elevating unit and a loading device. The delivering device is horizontally movable. The elevating unit is disposed under and mounted to the delivering device, and is vertically extendable and contractible relative to the delivering device. The loading device is adapted for loading and unloading an object, and includes a moving unit and a fork unit. The moving unit includes a moving base horizontally movable along a lower first axis parallel to a first direction relative to the elevating unit. The fork unit includes two fork prongs being horizontally spaced apart from each other along a second direction which is transverse to the first direction.

A material handling vehicle comprises an upper loading surface for loading of objects thereon, a control unit, a power source, a drive motor, at least one vehicle drive wheel powered by the drive motor, at least one vehicle support wheel, a first chassis and a second chassis, each of which comprises at least one wheel of the vehicle. The first and second chassis are pivotally coupled to each other by means of at least one coupling means, wherein said coupling means is arranged intermediate the first chassis and the second chassis at a position where the first chassis is arranged above the second chassis, wherein the coupling means extend at least partly vertically between the first and second chassis at said position. The present invention relates to a guide roller arrangement (10) for a storage and retrieval unit, comprising: a connection portion (12) configured to enable rigid attachment to a cross beam of the storage and retrieval unit, a girder portion (18) pivotally linked to the connection portion (12) by means of a spindle (16), a guide roller (20) rotatably borne by the girder portion (18), a supporting unit (22) rigidly connected to the cross beam, and a resilient element (38), which is in direct or indirect contact with the girder portion (18) on one side and a contact surface (36) of the supporting unit (22) on the other side in such a way as to bias the girder portion (18) toward rotation about the spindle (16) in the direction of the cross beam. The invention further relates to a storage and retrieval unit (100) comprising at least one such guide roller arrangement, and to a method for mounting a guide roller arrangement of this kind.

A telescopic drive contains a base having a securely attached toothed rack running in a first horizontal direction. At least one first carriage is arranged on the base, which is supported on the base such that it moves in the first horizontal direction by a linear guide, and which has a toothed belt drive formed by at least one electric motor and a revolving toothed belt. The toothed belt is driven by the electric motor, is tensioned in the first horizontal direction and is positioned on the toothed rack of the base. By integrating the telescopic drive into an electric-motor-driven cabin inside a three-dimensional shelving matrix of an equipment stand, both a compact construction and movements of a stored item are permitted, with the movements reaching up to or preferably also beyond the extension of an individual storage shelf.
