APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTING GROUPS OF CONSUMABLES BETWEEN VERTICALLY SPACED HOLDING SHELVES
An apparatus includes vertically spaced holding shelves, each including first and second shelf portions separated by an open area. A carrier configured to hold consumables is longer than the open area so that ends of the carrier can be supported on the first and second shelf portions. A transporter includes a support chassis laterally spaced from the holding shelves, a lift platform for carrying the carrier and having a length that is less than the length of the open area, a scissors actuator connecting the lift platform to the support chassis and configured to translate the lift platform laterally between a first position aligned with the support chassis and a second position laterally displaced from the support chassis and aligned with the open area of one of the holding shelves, and a transport elevator coupled to the support chassis for moving the support chassis in a vertical direction between the plurality of holding shelves.
STACKER
A stocker includes a first stacker crane and a second stacker crane each including a mast having a pair of surfaces orthogonal to a traveling direction and a transfer unit provided to be capable of being raised and lowered along one of the pair of surfaces and configured to transfer an article to and from a first rack and a second rack. The two cranes are disposed such that each face a direction opposite to a direction in which the one of the pair of surfaces on which the transfer unit is provided to be capable of being raised and lowered face each other in the traveling direction. A first space is provided with an entry area that the two cranes mutually enter. A controller controls traveling of the two cranes such that the two cranes do not collide with each other.
STACKER CRANE
A stacker crane includes a traveling assembly including a drive wheel being at least one of a first wheel and a second wheel opposing each other across a rail and a mover to move the drive wheel, the first wheel, and the second wheel. The mover includes first and second contact pressure adjusters to adjust a contact pressure of the drive wheel against the rail by moving the drive wheel to cause the first wheel and the second wheel to move farther away from or closer to each other. One of the first and second contact pressure adjusters is on one side of the drive wheel in a traveling direction of the traveling assembly, and the other of the first and second contact pressure adjusters is on the other side of the drive wheel in the traveling direction.
