The method and apparatus for moving trailers uses a trailer moving apparatus engageably coupled to a forklift when lifted off a surface with a plurality of hitches at different heights. The method for moving trailers using a trailer moving apparatus operatively coupled to a forklift tine via a guided channel on a channel member and not requiring an operator to leave the cabin of the forklift during operation.
Dual-axis vertical displacement and anti-rock support with a materials handling vehicle
A variety of vehicle-based and warehouse-based solutions are provided to increase the adaptability, utility, and efficiency of materials handling vehicles in the warehouse environment, such as a materials handling vehicle comprising a picking attachment is secured to a fork carriage assembly and comprising an X-Y-Z-Ψ positioner to engage and disengage a target tote such that movement of the picking attachment along a Z axis by the X-Y-Z-Ψ positioner is independent of movement of the fork carriage assembly along the vertical axis Z′ by the mast assembly and mast assembly control unit. The fork carriage assembly may comprise a mobile storage cart support platform defined by one or more cart lifting forks, and an anti-rock cart engagement mechanism configured to engage a mobile storage cart supported by the cart lifting forks.
DEPLOYABLE MOBILE TRANSPORTERS FOR EASY PLANT RECONFIGURATION
A system and method for reconfiguring a factory having equipment at different workstations throughout the factory includes a plurality of mobile transporters configured to engage and transport the equipment to the different workstations throughout the factory. Each mobile transporter includes a transmitter, a receiver, at least one proximity sensor, and an engagement mechanism for engaging the equipment. A factory configuration module includes a 3D model of the factory and a plurality of predetermined factory configurations. A supervisory control module is in communication with the plurality of mobile transporters, the equipment, and the factory configuration module. The plurality of mobile transporters are configured to receive instructions from the supervisory control module to engage and reposition the equipment throughout the factory based on the predetermined factory configurations and dynamic inputs.
Lift truck attachments
Lift truck attachment assemblies are shown and disclosed. In some embodiments, the lift truck attachment assembly includes a carriage assembly having a carriage and a linear actuator attached to the carriage. The carriage is mountable to a lift truck, and the linear actuator includes a body and longitudinally opposed piston rods slidably received in the body, each of the piston rods having an end. The attachment assembly additionally includes a frame assembly slidably connected to the carriage. The frame assembly includes upper and lower transverse frame members and end vertical frame members connecting the upper and lower transverse frame members in a spaced relationship to define a frame central cavity therebetween. The linear actuator is disposed within the frame central cavity such that the ends of the piston rods contact the end vertical frame members allowing the linear actuator to slide the frame assembly laterally relative to the carriage assembly.
Containerized Shipping, Storage and Inventory System
A frame rack system for the transportation, storage and inventory of commodities using intermodal open and closed frame racks configured to be compatible with ISO shipping container conventions. The open framed rack is preloaded and secured for transport or staging by yard personnel from a ground level position. ISO compatible corner pin blocks and forklift pockets allow for flexibility in handling loads at departure and destination. Material handling equipment compatibility allows for materials to be shipped and stored at unimproved sites. Tie-down rings allow for many options in securing loads. The stackability of units provides for an overall working deck height of less than 6 feet. Closed framed racks fit over the open frame racks to allow for multiple decks. Color-coded identifiers and identification codes facilitate storage and inventory. The present invention offers a simple, identifiable, contents-protected, multi-modal logistical solution, incorporating a “One Man One Machine” philosophy.
Dynamic pallet dimensioning with forklift taring
Cargo objects, in a freight-related environment, are dynamically dimensioned while being held at a cargo-handling position of a vehicle. A three-dimensional model is obtained comprising points representing surfaces of the vehicle. Using the model, the position of a point of reference of a first wheel of the vehicle is obtained, as is the position of a split point relative to the position of the first wheel point of reference. A driving direction of the vehicle is obtained. A splitting plane is determined, which passes through the split point and is perpendicular to the driving direction. A three-dimensional model of the cargo is determined by subtracting, from the vehicle three-dimensional model, the points that are positioned on the side of the splitting plane opposite to the side of the splitting plane that make up the first wheel point of reference. The volume is then determined from the cargo three-dimensional model.
Systems and methods for a material handling vehicle with a modular frame
Some aspects of the present disclosure provide a modular vehicle frame for a material handling vehicle. In some configurations, the modular vehicle frame includes a battery compartment, a handle configured to control a speed and direction of a traction wheel, and a mounting assembly configured to selectively quick-connect to a material handling attachment. In some configurations, the mounting assembly includes a mounting plate having a first side and a second side, at least one pivot block extending from the first side of the mounting plate and configured to provide a pivotal interface with the material handling attachment, and at least one locking latch attached to the second side of the mounting plate and configured to provide a selective locking interface with the material handling attachment.
Driver cab for an industrial truck
A driver cab for an industrial truck comprises a driver canopy supported by four pillars, wherein two of the four pillars are configured as entry way pillars and two of the four pillars are configured as end wall pillars. A side wall extends between each of the entry way pillars and the end wall pillars, an end wall extends between the end wall pillars, and a boarding area extends between the entry way pillars. Each of the end wall pillars comprises a tubular profile and at least one of the entry way pillars comprises a corner profile which comprises two limbs arranged at an angle with respect to one another.
