A method of using the self-loading pallet carrier is also provided.

Delivery sled brake system

A pallet sled includes a base and a plurality of tines extending forward from the base. At least one of the plurality of tines includes a wheel supporting the tine away from the base. A brake assembly is positioned adjacent the wheel to selectively brake the wheel. The brake assembly may include a drum adjacent the wheel. Alternatively, the brake assembly may include a brake shoe selectively directly contacting the wheel to brake the sled.

Wheel drive apparatus and forklift

Wheel drive apparatuses are provided on left and right wheels of a forklift and drive the respective wheels. Each of the wheel drive apparatuses includes a brake on the inside of a vehicle body of the forklift. The brake includes a brake shaft, friction plates, and a brake cover. The brake cover is removable from the wheel drive apparatus while the wheel drive apparatuses are mounted on the vehicle body. The friction plates are assembled with the brake shaft so as to be movable in an axial direction, and are removable from the wheel drive apparatus, while the wheel drive apparatuses are mounted on the vehicle body, by sliding along the brake shaft toward the inside of the vehicle body in the axial direction when the brake cover has been removed.

HYDROGEN FUEL CELL FORKLIFT TRUCK WITH DISTRIBUTED ARCHITECTURE

A hydrogen fuel cell forklift truck with a distributed architecture includes a frame, and, a hydrogen storage system, a fuel cell, a cooling system and an energy storage system arranged on the frame, and the fuel cell is connected with the hydrogen storage system and the energy storage system for charging the energy storage system and providing kinetic energy; the hydrogen storage system is located outside the fuel cell and exposed to the frame for supplying hydrogen to the fuel cell; the cooling system is located outside the fuel cell and connected to the fuel cell for cooling the fuel cell; the energy storage system is located outside the fuel cell and connected to the fuel cell for recovering braking energy and providing kinetic energy together with the fuel cell.

Pallet truck with brake release and lower brake zone detection mechanism

A pallet truck has a brake release mechanism. The pallet truck has a break release mechanism operably coupled to a brake for stopping rotation of a drive wheel. The brake release mechanism includes a brake release sensor and a profile feature that is detectable by the brake release sensor. The profile feature is fixedly coupled to a pivot shaft of a tiller arm of a tiller, and configured to rotate with the pivot shaft as the tiller arm is pivoted. The brake release sensor is positioned adjacent to the pivot shaft and configured to output a signal that causes the brake to release when the profile feature is detected.

An industrial vehicle includes an object detector configured to detect a position of an object, a notification unit configured to perform notification, a controller configured to control the notification unit according to the position of the object, and an intention-of-starting detector configured to detect whether an operator of the industrial vehicle has an intention of starting the industrial vehicle. The controller stops the notification by the notification unit when the intention-of-starting detector does not detect the intention of starting. The controller permits the notification by the notification unit when the intention-of-starting detector detects the intention of starting.

An industrial vehicle includes a travel direction detector configured to detect a travel direction of the industrial vehicle, a vehicle speed sensor configured to detect a vehicle speed of the industrial vehicle, a travel direction determiner, an object detector, and a controller. The controller is set in a particular state when the vehicle speed of the industrial vehicle is equal to or higher than a first vehicle speed threshold value. In the particular state, even when a travel direction command is changed by the travel direction determiner, the controller recognizes that a traveling state of the industrial vehicle before the travel direction command is changed continues and the object detector operates based on the traveling state of the industrial vehicle before the travel direction command is changed.
