A mobile elevating work platform includes a chassis, a slew bearing, a turntable, a lift system, and a turntable leveling system. The turntable leveling system is positioned above the slew bearing and supports the lift system. The turntable leveling system includes a baseplate, a bracket, a first actuator, and a second actuator. The baseplate extends above the slew bearing. The bracket is rotatably coupled to the baseplate and is configured to tilt relative to the baseplate about an axis extending parallel with the baseplate. The first actuator is positioned on a first side of the bracket and the second actuator is positioned on a second side of the bracket.

Forklift

A forklift includes a vehicle body, a fork having a distal end extending in a first direction of a first axis, a mast extending along a second axis intersecting the first axis and holding a proximal end of the fork such that the fork is configured to slide along the second axis, and a first sliding mechanism configured to cause the mast to slide along the first axis such that the distal end of the fork protrudes from the vehicle body.

Hydraulic steering systems for vehicle wheels

A steering system (10) for a vehicle wheel (12) has a wheel carrier (14) for mounting a steered wheel (12), the wheel carrier (14) being rotatably mounted with respect to the vehicle about a steering axis to allow the wheel (12) to be steered. A hydraulic cylinder (20) has a piston therein and a rigid connecting rod assembly (22) extending from the piston out of the cylinder (20). The rigid connecting rod assembly (22) comprises a first section (22) adapted to reciprocate into and out of the cylinder (20) and a second section (26) rigidly extending from the first section (22) to a pivot point connection (50) where it is pivotally connected to the wheel carrier (14) at an offset from the steering axis. The hydraulic cylinder (20) is pivotally mounted on the vehicle such that it is prevented from translational movement relative to the vehicle but capable of changing its orientation with respect to the vehicle. Due to the rigid connecting rod assembly (22) and the pivot connection to the wheel carrier (14), as well as the pivotal mounting of the cylinder (20) on the vehicle, lateral strains on the seals of the hydraulic cylinder (20) are avoided.

System and method for controlling a maximum vehicle speed for an industrial vehicle based on a calculated load

Controlling a maximum vehicle speed for an industrial vehicle includes determining, by a processor of the industrial vehicle, a torque applied to the traction wheel of the industrial vehicle; converting the torque to an equivalent force value; and determining an acceleration of the industrial vehicle while the torque is applied to the traction wheel. Additional steps include calculating a load being moved by the industrial vehicle, based at least in part on the acceleration and the equivalent force value; and controlling the maximum speed of the industrial vehicle based on the calculated load being moved by the industrial vehicle.

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for detecting a load on at least one fork of a material handling vehicle. The systems and methods can comprise a housing; at least one sensor positioned within the housing; a sensor arm pivotally coupled to the housing; at least one sensor flag integral with or coupled to the inside of the sensor arm; and wherein when the sensor arm pivots inward toward the housing the at least on sensor flag triggers the at least one sensor to identify at least a first load position and a second load position.

FORKLIFT, CARGO HANDLING SYSTEM, LOADING METHOD, AND FORKLIFT CONTROL DEVICE

A forklift includes a vehicle and a cargo handling device. The cargo handling device includes a mast, a lift bracket, and a pair of forks that includes claw portions, the forks being separated from each other in a vehicle width direction. The vehicle includes a vehicle main body, and a pair of straddle legs that is provided such that the straddle legs extend to the front side from a lower portion of the vehicle main body and the cargo handling device is interposed between the straddle legs in the vehicle width direction and that supports the mast such that the cargo handling device is movable forward and backward between an advance position and a retreat position, and front ends of the claw portions are positioned behind front ends of the straddle legs when the cargo handling device is at the retreat position.

A mid-mount fire apparatus includes a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, a front cabin coupled to the chassis forward of the body assembly, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, a ladder assembly having a proximal end that is coupled to the chassis rearward of the front cabin and between the front axle and the rear axle, and a pump positioned rearward of the front cabin and forward of an axis about which the ladder assembly rotates.

STORE DELIVERY VISION SYSTEM

A pallet sled includes a pair of tines extending forward from a base. A camera is mounted on the pallet sled and is configured to record images, such as video, as the pallet sled brings pallets of items from a truck into a store. At least one processor is used to analyze the images from the pallet sled. The images are used to determine inventory levels in the store, conditions of the store, conditions of the pathways of the pallet sled. An accelerometer on the pallet sled detects hard braking and accidents.
