Catch Monitoring Device
Disclosed is a device configured to enable monitoring of the subsea surroundings of a trawl net or other seafood gathering device. The device comprises a cylindrical shell. The cylindrical shell comprises a sensor that generates data pertaining to the subsea surroundings of the device. The cylindrical shell also comprises a light source. The light source is a light-emitting device or a reflected beam of light. The sensor and the light source are rotatable around an axis extending to the ends of the cylindrical shell. The device further comprises one or more electrical components coupled to the sensor and the light source, and additionally communicatively coupled to a data processing device. At least a part of the cylindrical shell is transparent.

Visibility for fishing floats
The invention relates to a line of floats which allow for greater visibility during both day and night fishing. The greater visibility is created by a combination of one of more marker devices, including light sticks, flags, viz sticks, reflective surface, and/or use of chemiluminescent and phosphorescent materials. These objects and materials are used on a variety of floats, especially large floats such as jug floats and a new type of float termed a noodle float. These large floats are especially useful for catching large catfish and can be used in any body of water where fish are found, such as lakes, rivers, ponds, and the sea.
Ground fishing rods
A fishing device comprising a main housing unit that can be secured to a ground surface with a plurality of hammerable nails; a reel of fishing line stored on a spool in the main housing unit; a nozzle-shaped, lockable top for the main housing unit through which the fishing line is threaded; and a handle on the lockable top for spinning and flicking the lockable top in order to cast the fishing line outwardly therefrom. There is a smaller, more portable lake or river model and a larger ocean version. A fishing chair is also disclosed.
Lighted Fish Landing Net
Disclosed is a lighted fish landing net that includes a net including an upper perimeter, a net support that supports the net at the upper perimeter and includes an elongated support body and a channel extending along the elongated body, an optical fiber extending at least partially through the channel with a first end and an elongated surface extending at least partially along the channel, and at least one light source positioned proximate the first end. The light source may emit light that is incident on the first end of the optical fiber such that light is emitted from the elongated surface of the optical fiber along the channel.

Bait-fish trap with floating light
An improved bait-fish trap includes a cylindrical, mesh shell having a continuous outer wall, an upper end and an open lower end. The shell houses a mesh entrance cone having a lower base that is concentric with the open lower end of the shell, and an upper vertex in communication with an overlying entrapment chamber. At the upper end of the shell is a releasable hatch for accessing bait fish within the entrapment chamber. Attached to the hatch is a buoyant light for luring bait fish from the entrance cone into the entrapment chamber until they are removed via the releasable hatch. A buoyant tube is circumferentially secured to the inner surface of the upper end so that the shell remains afloat whenever the hatch is opened to retrieve captured bait fish.
