A beverage dispensing machine includes a countertop for a conveyor that carries a plurality of cup holders around a track. A front side of the beverage dispenser machine is accessible by an operator to remove cups from the plurality of cup holders. A cup tower has a plurality of cup dispenser tubes that are each configured to hold a respective stack of cups. A cup grabber is movable up and down into and between a raised position in which the cup grabber is positioned to grab a cup from one of the stacks of cups and place a cup into one of the plurality of cup holders.

The present invention refers to a machine (1) for preparing beverages and presenting a plurality of beverage concentrate cartridges (2) provided so that can collect a respective beverage concentrate (3), and a concentrate discharge device (4) adapted so that can interact with each one of said beverage concentrate cartridges (2), without using fluid connections between the exit parts (22) of said beverage concentrate cartridges (2) and a service disposition (11) of the machine that comprises a discharge zone where there can be placed a beverage recipient. Implementations include actions of receiving consumer-specific data and ID-specific data from an identification presented by a consumer to a vending machine, processing at least a portion of the ID-specific data to determine one or more of whether the identification is unexpired and whether the identification is authentic, and serving the consumer from the vending machine at least partially in response to determining that the identification is unexpired and that the identification is authentic and determining that the consumer is authentic relative to the identification.

Technologies are described herein for a dispensing nozzle for a beverage dispensing system. An example embodiment of the dispensing nozzle may include a housing; a nozzle manifold containing orifices and corresponding conduits for a number of diluents, macro-ingredient sweeteners, and micro-ingredients; a sweetener channel and a diluent baffle, the combination of which facilitates the mixing of the diluent and macro-ingredient sweetener; a funnel; and a nozzle exit. The diluent, macro-ingredient sweetener, and micro-ingredients may mix in the dispensing nozzle to form a predetermined beverage. The dispensing nozzle may communicate with various aspects of the beverage dispensing system to coordinate the dispensing of the predetermined beverage.

An apparatus comprises a dispensing system and a sanitizing system. The apparatus has a dispensing mode and sanitizing mode. The dispensing system may comprise a first valve and at least one component, the at least one component having an inner surface. The first valve is opened to send a free-flowing material to the at least one component when the apparatus is in the dispensing mode. The first valve is closed when the apparatus is in the sanitizing mode. The sanitizing system comprises a processing unit having a discharge cell configured to initiate a cold plasma discharge in an air flow. A tank may be configured to receive the air flow from the discharge cell of the processing unit and expose water in the tank to the air flow for a time sufficient to provide dissolution of ozone from the air flow into the water and form ozone-containing water.

The invention relates to a cartridge housing comprising a diluting means, especially a water supply, a mixing chamber in which the diluting means and a beverage and/or food substrate are mixed, and an outlet. The cartridge housing is fitted with a hollow rod such that the sealing film of the cartridge is pierced as soon as the cartridge is inserted into the cartridge housing, thereby creating the flow connection between the cartridge and a mixing chamber.
