A dispenser for preparing beverages are provided. In one embodiment, the dispensing system includes a housing, a carbonation assembly disposed within the housing, and a drawer slidably mounted to the housing. The carbonation assembly is configured to selectively carbonate a fluid. The drawer is configured to seat at least one additive container. The dispensing system is configured to selectively dispense an additive contained within an additive container in the drawer from a first outlet, and is configured to dispense a fluid from a second outlet separate from the first outlet.

The present application provides a beverage dispensing system. The beverage dispensing system may include a syringe cartridge assembly and a nozzle. The syringe cartridge assembly may include an ingredient chamber, a water chamber, and a dosing pump such that the ingredient chamber is in communication with the nozzle and the water chamber is in communication with the dosing pump.

A beverage dispenser has a housing in which a first liquid inlet is connectable to a base liquid source. The housing also contains a second liquid inlet connectable to a base liquid source or to a pressurized gas source and a pair of jet mixers. First and second liquid lines connect the respective first and second liquid inlets and jet mixers. A first ingredient container contains a first beverage ingredient, the pod or capsule provided in a first ingredient container receiving means, and a second ingredient container containing a second beverage ingredient, the ingredient container provided in a second ingredient container receiving means. The first and second ingredient containers are configured such that upon providing a liquid stream in the respective liquid lines, the beverage ingredient is discharged from the ingredient container into the liquid stream. A beverage outlet is in liquid communication with the jet mixer.

The invention relates to a beverage preparation machine (1) for preparing a beverage by means of a cartridge system consisting of a cartridge (7), which has a beverage substance in a reservoir (8), and of a cartridge receptacle (11) which is connected to the cartridge (7) and has a mixing chamber, at least one fluid supply and a beverage outlet, wherein the beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a main unit (2) and a cartridge holder (3) which protrudes from the main unit (2) and is in particular designed like a balcony, wherein the cartridge holder (3) is designed such that the cartridge system can be inserted into it, wherein the cartridge holder (3) comprises an actuator element (14) for operating a cartridge discharging device of the cartridge system, wherein the main unit (2) comprises a liquid reservoir (4), a liquid conditioning system for conditioning a liquid from the liquid reservoir (4), in particular for controlling the temperature of and/or carbonating the liquid, a fluid supply system for introducing the conditioned liquid and/or pressurised air into the cartridge system, and a control device for controlling the liquid conditioning system and/or the fluid supply system, wherein the main unit (2) and/or the cartridge holder (3) comprises a drive for the actuator element (14).
PORTABLE SYSTEM FOR DISPENSING CONTROLLED QUANTITIES OF ADDITIVES INTO A BEVERAGE
A portable, self-contained beverage apparatus includes a container assembly having a known storage capacity for storing a consumable liquid, and a dispensing assembly disposed within the container assembly that dispenses variable, non-zero quantities of additives into the consumable liquid. The dispensing assembly includes multiple apertures structured and arranged to retain vessels containing the additives to be dispensed into the consumable liquid. The beverage apparatus also includes a level sensor disposed within the container assembly that determines a consumable liquid level of the consumable liquid stored in the container assembly. In certain embodiments, one or more positive displacement pumping mechanisms are configured to pump additive liquid from additive containers into a beverage chamber.

The invention relates to a cartridge (1) for inserting into a beverage-preparing machine, comprising a cartridge body (3) and a cartridge cover (2) connected to the cartridge body (3), wherein: the cartridge body (3) has a plurality of chambers (4) filled with beverage substance; the cartridge cover (2) has a cartridge-emptying unit (20), a mixing chamber (14), and a fluid feed (15) leading into the mixing chamber (14); the cartridge-emptying unit (20) is provided for transferring beverage substance from one of the chambers (4) into the mixing chamber (14); and the mixing chamber (14) is provided for producing a beverage by mixing the beverage substance transferred from the one chamber (4) into the mixing chamber (14) with a liquid fed into the mixing chamber (14) by means of the fluid feed (15); the cartridge being characterized in that the cartridge body (3) and the cartridge cover (2) can be rotated relative to each other about a longitudinal axis (L) of the cartridge body (3). The invention relates to a beverage preparation machine (1), in particular a dispenser, for preparing a beverage using a cartridge system consisting of a cartridge (10), which has a beverage substance in a reservoir (11), and a cartridge receiving area (14), which is connected to the cartridge (10) and has at least one liquid supply opening (19), a mixing chamber, and a beverage outlet (15), wherein the beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a cartridge mounting (4), in particular a cartridge mounting which has a balcony-like design, the cartridge system can be inserted into the cartridge mounting (4), and the beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a liquid reservoir (3), a liquid thermal conditioning system for thermally conditioning a liquid from the liquid reservoir (3), a coupling element (21) for selectively coupling between the liquid thermal conditioning system and the liquid supply opening (19) of the cartridge receiving area (14), and a controller for controlling the beverage preparation machine (1). The coupling element (21) has at least one liquid line (22), and the cartridge mounting (4) has at least one locking means (8) which is designed to reversibly lock the cartridge system in the cartridge mounting (4). The locking means (8) can be reversibly converted from an unlocked position into a locked position, and the locking means (8) interacts with the cartridge system in the locked position in a form- and/or force-fitting manner.
