There is shown a dispensing apparatus for use with pressurized containers of fluids, particularly carbonated beverages such as beer. A base that fits onto the container has a piston member slidably fitted to it, along with a compressed gas housing and a pickup tube or assembly. A handle moves the piston member with respect to the base against a spring bias. A gas flow path from the housing to the container passes through a valve, that is opened by the piston member as the handle is moved. Moving the handle opens both a liquid flow path as well as a gas flow path.

Pressure Regulating System for a Beverage Container and Beverage Container Provided Therewith

A pressure regulating system for a beverage container system, comprising a first compartment for containing a pressurized, in fluid communication with a surrounding space through at least a gas valve for opening and closing a passage between the first compartment and surrounding space, wherein a gas valve control system is provided, comprising a deformable and/or movable wall or wall part, wherein said deformable and/or movable wall part is operably in contact with said gas valve for opening and/or closing said gas valve, wherein a second compartment is provided at a side of the said deformable and/or movable wall part, said movable and/or deformable wall part forming a wall of said second compartment, wherein the second compartment forms a pressure regulating space and comprises a wall part formed by or comprising at least a gas permeable, liquid tight permeable wall part.

A fluid pressurization and dispensing system, including a coupler releasably attached to a vessel via an attachment means for securing a vacuum seal between the coupler and the vessel for maintaining pressure within the vessel, refreshing the gas composition within the vessel, and dispensing of a fluid contents externally from within the vessel without disturbing the vacuum seal. The coupler has a rigid single body unit having a tap head, a shank, and a cap which are contiguous thereof the coupler including a plurality of channels each integrally machined within an interior portion of the coupler. The system regulates a flow of gas from a pressurized gas cartridge via a gas pressure regulator, enables venting excess gas via a gas pressure relief valve, enables measurement of gas pressure within the vessel via a gas pressure gauge. Another embodiment of the system includes a coupler including a bi-level tap head.

Compact Portable Cooling Container and Keg Dispenser

The present invention is directed to a portable container for a beverage, such as beer, from a Sixth barrel or Cornelius keg. The portable container is specifically designed for storing, cooling, transporting and dispensing a beverage, such as beer. The portable container has a self-contained container of CO.sub.2, a regulator, and a tap for the keg.

Beverage Dispensing System, Beverage Container and Pressurizing System for Use in a Beverage Dispensing System or Container

Beverage dispensing system comprising a beverage container with a beverage compartment and a pressurizing system, wherein the pressurizing system comprises a gas container comprising pressurized gas, a closure closing the gas container and a pressure regulator operative for opening the closure for allowing gas to enter into the beverage compartment from the gas container, wherein the pressure regulator comprises a regulating chamber having at least a wall part movable and/or deformable based on pressure in the beverage compartment, wherein at least one opening is provided through a wall of the regulating chamber providing for at least part of a gas passage between the regulating chamber and the beverage compartment.

Multi-use beverage system

Described herein is a beverage system that is configured to produce beverages having different characteristics, such as different levels of carbonation including producing substantially non-carbonated beverages and carbonated beverages with a single machine. The beverage system includes a beverage appliance and a beverage container. The beverage container includes a beverage material, which can include a flavoring ingredient for a target beverage. The beverage appliance is used to access the beverage material from the beverage container and produce the target beverage. The beverage appliance and beverage container are adaptable to produce the target beverage having any of a range of carbonation levels or other characteristics.

Devices and methods for engaging a gas cylinder with a gas dispenser, such as a beverage extractor, an inflation device, or other system that uses pressurized gas. A resilient element may be used to force a gas cylinder into engagement with a piercing element to pierce an outlet of the gas cylinder. The resilient element may deform elastically and/or plastically when applying force to the cylinder to pierce the outlet and sealingly engage the cylinder with a receiver. The resilient element may compensate for cylinders having different sizes and/or provide a consistent piercing or sealing force.
