A flow diverting device is provided at the lower end of the dip-tube (D) in a bag-in-keg container (C) which is filled top-side-down, e.g. with beer. The device directs the incoming flow to run smoothly back down the outside of the dip tube, gently into the already pooled beer thus minimising any fountain effect and associated turbulence. The device can also be used with single-wall metal or plastic kegs to reduce the dispensing of sediment and allow a greater volume of beer to be withdrawn without fobbing.

A container whose content can be removed easily by a consumer. The container should be inexpensive to produce while being extremely easy to operate by the consumer, should provide a high degree of flexibility with respect to the choice of the propellant gas (pressure and type of gas) and should achieve a long storage life for the contents, even after the container has been tapped. The container comprises a fill chamber (40), a pressure chamber (6) and a pressure valve (10). The fill chamber (40) is formed by a container base (2), a container wall (7) and a container upper face (8), and a first pressure (p.sub.B) prevails in the fill chamber (40). The pressure chamber (6) is formed by the container base (2) and a pressure chamber base (5) and a second pressure (p.sub.D) prevails in the pressure chamber (6). The pressure valve (10) is connected to the container base (2) and the pressure chamber base (5). The pressure valve (10), when open, establishes fluid communication between the fill chamber (40) and the pressure chamber (6), and the pressure valve (10), is when closed, separates the fill chamber (40) and the pressure chamber (6) in a fluid-tight manner from one another.

Beverage preservation keg with adjustable beer tap

The present invention provides a beverage preservation keg with an adjustable beer tap, including a shell, an inner container, and a gas-liquid control device; the inner container includes an upper gas storage chamber and a lower beer storage chamber; the gas-liquid control device includes a keg spear, a dispenser and a beer discharge pipe; the keg spear matches and communicates with the gas storage chamber and the beer storage chamber, and the top end of the keg spear matches and is connected to the dispenser; the dispenser is connected to the matching beer discharge pipe. The present invention has the function of adjusting the beer flow rate, and the keg spear is provided with a pressure relief valve, which eliminates the need for a gas tube and a separate pressure relief valve to connect the keg spear to the gas storage chamber in series.

Needle for accessing a beverage in container

A needle for accessing a container having a closure, such as a cork of a wine bottle. The needle includes first and second lumens each having a D-shaped cross section and a flat surface. The first and second lumens are attached with the flat surfaces in contact, and each lumen may have an outlet opening at a distal end. The needle may be used with a beverage dispenser that operates by introducing gas into a container via one lumen, and receives beverage from the container via another one of the lumens.

Dispensing system

The present invention provides a dispensing system comprising a self-gassing liquid to be dispensed and a dispenser for dispensing the self-gassing liquid, the dispenser including: a valve housing having an inlet for receiving the liquid and an outlet through which the liquid is to be dispensed; a valve chamber and/or passage extending between the inlet and the outlet, and a valve arranged to open and close the valve chamber and/or passage; pressure maintaining means arranged to maintain the pressure of liquid at the inlet to the valve housing at a constant pressure during successive dispensing operations; and control means for controlling the opening and closing of the valve, the control means being arranged to open and close the valve to commence and terminate each successive dispensing operation, wherein the period for which the valve is open determines the quantity of liquid dispensed. The dispensing system may permit very small quantities of liquid to be dispensed with great accuracy and avoid the liquid being subjected to high shear forces. The system is particularly beneficial for the dispensing of peracetic acid.

A receptacle for storing, pressurizing, and dispensing packaged beverages. The receptacle includes an airtight chamber with a removable lid, wherein the joint between the lid and the chamber is also airtight. A gas valve allows for the inflow and outflow of gas, and a tap port and tap stem allow the beverage to be dispensed without breaking the seal of the chamber. A pressure relief valve allows for more rapid depressurization. The chamber can be used at high and low pressures, such as a partial vacuum, to prevent oxidation of a number of open beverages, such as beers, wines, and sodas. A pressure gauge port coupled with an optional pressure gauge allows a user to verify the appropriate pressure for the type of beverage being preserved. The gas valve may be disposed on a base of the receptacle, as may the pressure relief and/or the pressure gauge port.
