Pressure Regulating System for a Beverage Container and Beverage Container Provided Therewith
A pressure regulating system for a beverage container system, comprising a first compartment for containing a pressurized, in fluid communication with a surrounding space through at least a gas valve for opening and closing a passage between the first compartment and surrounding space, wherein a gas valve control system is provided, comprising a deformable and/or movable wall or wall part, wherein said deformable and/or movable wall part is operably in contact with said gas valve for opening and/or closing said gas valve, wherein a second compartment is provided at a side of the said deformable and/or movable wall part, said movable and/or deformable wall part forming a wall of said second compartment, wherein the second compartment forms a pressure regulating space and comprises a wall part formed by or comprising at least a gas permeable, liquid tight permeable wall part.
Apparatus for storage and aging of wine
An apparatus for the storage and aging of wine that comprises of a disposable flexible bladder contained within a rigid support container. The flexible bladder has a fill/drain port connected to an internal dip tube that allows the bladder to be filled and emptied repeatedly without any contact with air. This allows the wine to remain fresh and unoxidized during storage and aging. The apparatus can be used in multiple support containers, such as barrels, IBCs, and tanks. The apparatus has no moving parts and uses disposable contact materials that eliminate washing and water usage. Single-use components ensure sanitary operation and this combined with the elimination of oxygen in contact with the wine produces consistently higher quality product.
Apparatus for storing and dispensing liquid from a liquid retaining bag
An apparatus configured to store and dispense liquid from a liquid retaining bag. The apparatus preferably includes a storage container for storing the liquid retaining bag. The liquid storage container and the liquid retaining bag are preferably housed in the bottom of a water cooler. The storage container includes a base, an upper opening and at least one wall extending upwardly from the base and defining a hollow cavity. The hollow cavity is sized to receive a liquid retaining bag. The apparatus further includes a liquid transport conduit for transporting liquid from the liquid retaining bag to a dispensing location. A guide and retaining member is operably associated with the storage container. The guide and retaining member is preferably configured to guide the liquid transport conduit from a first location to a second location. The second location is an operating position in which at least a portion of the liquid transport conduit extends into the liquid retaining bag and the first location is a location where no portion of the liquid transport conduit is within the liquid retaining bag. Preferably, the guide member and the storage container are configured such that the liquid transport conduit can be positioned in a third location where the liquid retaining bag can be removed from the storage container while at least a portion of the liquid transport conduit is connected to and held in place by the guide and retaining member. The third location is preferably between the first location and the second location.
BEVERAGE DISPENSING ASSEMBLY AND TAP
Dispensing assembly (10) comprising a container (1), containing a pressurized beverage, connected to or provided with a dispense assembly, wherein the dispense assembly comprises an outlet channel (12) closable by a valve body (16) and a chamber (14) between the container (1) and the valve body (16), which chamber (14) is at least partly closed by a movable and/or deformable wall part (28) connected to the valve body (16) or a valve seat, such that pressurized beverage from the container filling the chamber forces the wall part (28), into a position biasing the valve body (16) or the valve seat in a position closing the outlet channel (12) and by pushing the wall part the valve body (16) or the valve seat can be forced into a position opening the outlet channel (12), wherein preferably at least during use there is an open connection between said chamber (14) and a beverage compartment of the container (1).
PRESSURE ACTIVATED DISPENSE SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS
A beverage dispenser is provided herein. The beverage dispenser may include a housing and a recess that holds a beverage. The recess may be pressurized to dispense the beverage through a dispensing tube that extends into the housing. The recess may include a base positioned at a bottom of the recess. The base may include a reservoir and the base may draw the beverage towards the reservoir. The dispensing tube may be laterally bisected or longitudinally bisected into a first portion and a second portion that may be removably coupled together.
Vented keg closure
A vented keg closure (1) for use with a keg (30) that contains a fermenting beverage, with the closure (1) comprising a filter member (41) disposed within an airway of the closure (1) that communicates between an internal headspace (36) of the keg (30) and an environment external to the keg (30). The closure (1) has a first configuration wherein the filter member (41) is located at a first position at which it filters gas flowing through the airway. The closure (1) also has a second configuration wherein the filter member (41) is located at a second position at which gas flow through the airway can be increased by at least partially bypassing the filter (41). The extent of movement between the first and second configurations is controlled by the gas pressure difference across the airway.
Container with pressure relief valve
A container for a fluid under pressure, preferably a beer keg, including a neck and a fitting mounted thereon with a suction tube for drawing the fluid into the container. A pressure relief valve is mounted in an upper end of the suction tube or in the neck of the container. The pressure relief valve includes a closing body which is mounted resiliently via a spring and movable from a closing position to an open position by the spring being compressed.
PRESSURIZED BREWING, GAS INFUSION AND DISPENSING MACHINE
A pressurized beverage dispenser having a beverage container and a cap. The cap includes a cap body, a compressed-gas cartridge, an external straw, a discharge chamber, a metering valve, a diaphragm, and an actuator. The discharge chamber within the cap body is in fluid communication with an internal passageway of the external straw. The metering valve allows a flow of beverage from the beverage container to the discharge chamber when the metering valve is open and substantially precludes the flow of beverage when the metering valve is closed. The diaphragm opens the metering valve when the diaphragm is activated and closes the metering valve when the diaphragm is deactivated. The diaphragm also activates when a user sucks on the outlet end of the external straw to create suction within the discharge chamber. The actuator on the cap body activates the diaphragm when the user manually engages the actuator.
Brewing
