METHODS OF MAKING ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND/OR VIRUCIDAL DISINFECTANT COMPOSITIONS FROM VEGETABLE OIL, AND RELATED ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND/OR VIRUCIDAL DISINFECTANT COMPOSITIONS AND USES

The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for making one or more antimicrobial compositions and/or one or more virucidal disinfectant compositions. Said methods and systems include exposing a vegetable oil composition to ozone gas to cause ozonolysis of on one or more unsaturated fatty acids present in the vegetable oil composition, thereby forming an ozonated vegetable oil composition and exposing the ozonated vegetable oil composition to a temperature greater than 60° C. while in contact with water to decompose one or more ozonide compounds and form a heat-treated, ozonated vegetable oil composition. The present disclosure also relates to one or more uses of said one or more antimicrobial compositions and/or one or more virucidal disinfectant compositions.

Low volatility herbicidal compositions

The present invention relates generally low volatility herbicidal compositions comprising at least one auxin herbicide and at least one monocarboxylic acid, or monocarboxylate thereof. The invention further relates generally to methods for preparing and using such low volatility herbicidal compositions, including methods for controlling auxin-susceptible plant growth on agricultural and non-agricultural lands.

BIOMIMETIC POLYMERS FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF VIRAL DISEASES
20170253647 · 2017-09-07 ·

Antiviral biomimetic polymers (ABPs) are disclosed that can be used to prevent and/or treat viral disease. The ABPs are discovered by a process involving high-throughput screening of polymer libraries using disease-relevant bioactive molecules as target molecules. ABPs can be nanoscale (termed nanoABPs) or larger. Methods are described for the preparation and use of ABPs as prophylactics and therapeutics (in vivo) and as preventative agents, for example, in personal protective equipment (ex vivo). ABPs can be used to prevent and treat viral diseases including those caused by Filoviridae.
