Bi-stable changeover valve
A valve comprises a body having a first inlet, a second inlet, and an outlet. A shuttle is shiftable between: a first position permitting communication between the first inlet and the outlet and blocking communication between the second inlet and the outlet; and a second position permitting communication between the second inlet and the outlet and blocking communication between the first inlet and the outlet. One or more permanent magnets are positioned to bias the shuttle away from a neutral position between the first position and the second position, wherein the valve further comprises: one or more electromagnets positioned to, in at least one condition of energization, counter said bias.

DISPENSING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
Dispensing apparatus is provided for dispensing one or more items therefrom in use. The apparatus includes at least one reservoir for containment of the one or more items to be dispensed. Dispensing outlet means are provided for dispensing the one or more items from said apparatus. At least one flow conduit or flow line is located between the at least one reservoir and the dispensing outlet means. Valve means are provided with or associated with said dispensing outlet means to control dispensing of the one or more items from said dispensing outlet means in use. The valve means are movable between an open position, wherein the one or more items can be dispensed from the dispensing outlet means, and a closed position, wherein the one or more items are prevented from being dispensed from said dispensing outlet means. The apparatus includes multiple dispensing outlet means, and a control unit is provided and is arranged to communicate with and/or control at least two, or all, of said multiple dispensing outlet means.
Cooled beverage dispensing systems and associated devices
Systems and devices for cooling and dispensing a beverage fluid are disclosed herein. One beverage dispensing system includes a beverage tower comprising a tower body, a shank, and a faucet. In some implementations, a coolant line is routed proximal to a beverage supply line through the tower body, through the shank, and into the faucet. In these and other implementations, the faucet includes a removable nozzle having a supplemental portion of the coolant line. In these and still other implementations, the faucet include a removable nozzle having a second coolant line. The coolant line and the second coolant line are configured to transport a coolant medium proximal to a beverage fluid in the beverage supply line to maintain or adjust the temperature of the beverage fluid. Automatic detection system for detecting disruptions in the flow to a dispensing apparatus
An automatic detection system is provided for detecting disruptions in the flow of liquid from a liquid container or containers to a dispensing apparatus. Two embodiments of the system are disclosed. In the first embodiment, a single liquid container is utilized. In the second embodiment, two liquid containers are utilized. In both embodiments, an optical sensor is employed to detect a disruption in the flow of liquid from the liquid containers to the dispensing apparatus.
