Systems and methods for beverage preservation
10562752 · 2020-02-18 ·

A receptacle for storing, pressurizing, and dispensing packaged beverages. The receptacle includes an airtight chamber with a removable lid, wherein the joint between the lid and the chamber is also airtight. A gas valve allows for the inflow and outflow of gas, and a tap port and tap stem allow the beverage to be dispensed without breaking the seal of the chamber. A pressure relief valve allows for more rapid depressurization. The chamber can be used at high and low pressures, such as a partial vacuum, to prevent oxidation of a number of open beverages, such as beers, wines, and sodas. A pressure gauge port coupled with an optional pressure gauge allows a user to verify the appropriate pressure for the type of beverage being preserved. The gas valve may be disposed on a base of the receptacle, as may the pressure relief and/or the pressure gauge port.

KEG CLOSURE WITH ELEMENT FOR LOCKING THE VALVE IN AN OPEN POSITION

A closure (1) for a beverage keg (90) is provided, comprising a valve housing (20) and a valve element (30), which is movable with respect to the valve housing (20) inwardly into an open state and outwardly into a closed state. A locking system comprises a locking element (50) that is movable with respect to the valve housing (20) and is capable of holding the valve element (30) in the open state. The locking element (50) comprises a body portion (51) located inside the valve housing (20) and a leg (56) that extends outwardly from the body portion (51) to the exterior of the valve housing (20). The leg (56) comprises an engagement element (57) that is configured to engage a stop formation fixed with respect to the valve housing (20) in order to limit the maximum extent of movement of the locking element (50) in an upward direction relative to the valve housing (20) after beverage has been dispensed from the keg (90).

User-controlled volume regulation mechanism for automatic consumable dispensers

An automated consumable dispenser with a precision method for delivering consumable ingredients in specific proportions to a container up to a specified volume. This method involves the use of a system of sensors and a micro-microprocessor, which detects, digitizes and develops a three dimensional rendering of the container, calculates the container volume and dispenses specific amounts of consumable ingredients. A user is able to pick the level in the vessel to which the consumable ingredients should be dispensed and displays the selected desired level. The embodiments described include an automated dispenser capable of dispensing beverages and food items, either separately or together.

Pressure regulating valve
11885419 · 2024-01-30 · ·

A pressure regulating valve including a seal seat that defines an opening. A seat stem is moveable between a closed position in which the seat stem engages the seal seat and prevents fluid flow through the opening, and an open position in which the seat stem is spaced from the seal seat and permits fluid flow through the opening. A biasing element biases the seat stem in the closed position. A housing defines a passage that extends between an inlet and an outlet. The seal seat, seat stem and biasing element are positioned in the passage such that movement of the seat stem between the closed and open positions controls flow of the fluid between the inlet and outlet. The housing has an outer wall including a coupling mechanism for fixing the housing inside a channel of a primary regulator body.

SYSTEM FOR REGULATING PRESSURE WITHIN AND DISPENSING FROM A BEVERAGE CONTAINER
20190389714 · 2019-12-26 ·

A system for regulating pressure within a beverage container. A high-side cartridge assembly includes a cartridge shell enclosing a high-pressure cavity, a piercing tip to puncture a pressurized-gas container, a high-pressure passage extending through the piercing tip and to the high-pressure cavity, and a piston to intermittently open the high-pressure cavity to a low-pressure cavity external to the high-side cartridge assembly. The low-side cap assembly includes a cap body having a socket configured to receive the high-side cartridge assembly, and no part of the cap body forms a boundary of the high-pressure cavity. Also disclosed is an interface having a housing, a tap assembly, a dip tube, a carry handle, and a receiving section. The housing is configured to couple to a beverage container, and the receiving section is configured to receive a pressure regulator.

VALVE FOR FILLING AND EMPTYING A PRESSURISED PET CONTAINER

A gas exhaust system particularly designed to collect and exhaust gases, particularly carbon dioxide, from beverage fountain systems where the gasses ordinarily are exhausted to the immediate environment in which the equipment sits, which when an enclosed environment (i.e. a building) may result in a hazardous condition to persons therein.

KEG CLOSURE WITH INTEGRATED VENTING SYSTEM

A closure (1) for a beverage keg (90) is provided, the closure (1) comprising an inlet for admitting a pressurised gas into a headspace of the beverage keg (90) and a valve housing (20) defining at least a portion of the closure (1). The valve housing (20) has a housing wall (21) that defines at least a portion of the valve housing (20). The closure (1) is provided with a barrier (29), separate from the inlet, that is integrally formed with the housing wall (21) and configured to seal the closure (1) such that the closure (1) is able to retain the pressurised gas within the keg (90) in an unvented configuration.
