ROTATIONALLY SEALABLE WINE DISPENSER THAT PRESERVES WINE QUALITY WHEN THE DISPENSER IS PARTIALLY FULL

A wine dispenser is disclosed that preserves wine by reducing oxidation when partially filled with wine. The dispenser includes: a bottle body having a uniform cross section; a piston disposed within the bottle body for pushing the wine therethrough; a drive member capable of pushing the piston along the bottle body; and a dispensing assembly attached to the dispensing end. The dispensing assembly includes: a shoulder having a wine flow channel, the wine being able to flow out only via the wine flow channel; a neck in sealable and rotatable relationship with the shoulder, the neck having a pouring end and a flow regulation end, the flow regulation end having at least one opening that can be rotated so as to permit or prevent wine flow in from the wine flow channel, through the at least one opening, and out through the pouring end, when pressure is applied to the piston.

Universal Device for Monitoring and Reporting Fluid Consumption and Method Using Same

A liquid intake tracking device for removable insertion into a beverage container in order to track an amount of liquid consumed, the rate of liquid consumption over time, and to provide alerts to the user. The device connects wirelessly to an application executing on an external electronic device which provides user with liquid consumption data and reports concerning the user's interaction with the beverage container. Methods for tracking liquid intake are also disclosed.

The device connects wirelessly to an application executing on an external electronic device which provides user with liquid consumption data and reports concerning the user's interaction with the beverage container. Methods for tracking liquid intake include disposing such a device within the container, calibrating the device relative to the container by processing pressure readings while the container is in an empty and full state, detecting changes in pressure within the container after the calibration step, in which the pressure is a function of a proportion of amount of liquid within the container at the time of detection, and wirelessly transmitting the measured pressure information to the external electronic device using a wireless communication module.

SPILL PREVENTION FOR INTERCHANGEABLE LIQUID CONTAINERS

A dispenser system for a fluid container includes a two-stage valve having a chamber disposed in-between an active valve and a passive valve. The chamber and related components may be configured to encourage recapture and sealing of pooled fluid in the chamber under a variety of usage scenarios. The chamber may include a reservoir to recapture fluid that has pooled within the spout when the container is angled for a pour. At the same time, a number of channels may divert outbound fluid flow around the chamber during pouring to ensure that this recapture reservoir is not over-filled with fluid during high-flow-rate pouring scenarios. These two techniques may be used alone, or in combination to simultaneously address recapture of statically and dynamically disposed fluid within the spout.

WINE DISPENSER THAT PROTECTS UNPOURED WINE FROM OXIDATION BY PREVENTING AIR FROM ENTERING THE DISPENSER WHEN PARTIALLY FULL

A wine dispenser is disclosed that protects unpoured wine from oxidation due to exposure to air within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a weighted piston disposed within, the weighted piston being configured to move toward the dispensing end of the dispenser body when the dispenser is tilted downward, causing wine to be dispensed via a dispensing assembly. The dispensing assembly includes a lid having a wine flow channel that provides a path for wine to flow out of the dispenser body, and a unidirectional flow valve that is biased in a closed air-tight state to prevent air from entering the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, unless the unidirectional flow valve is forced into an open state, thereby allowing wine to flow out from the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, and then out of the dispenser via a pouring neck.
