SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A FUEL PUMP
20220122598 · 2022-04-21 ·

A method of controlling a fuel pump includes receiving a first set of data characterizing an audible activation word including a first voice pattern. Control of the fuel pump is authorized in response to the first voice pattern matching a stored voice pattern within a database. A second set of data characterizing an audible command word is received, where the audible command word includes a second voice pattern. The fuel pump is controlled based on the audible command word in response to the second voice pattern matching the stored voice pattern within the database.

Arrangement with a Container and a Tamper-Evident Closure
20230303385 · 2023-09-28 ·

An arrangement with a container (3) having a container opening via which a storage medium (3) can be supplied to or removed from the container (3). The container opening can be sealed with a closure means and secured with a tamper-evident safeguard (9). The tamper-evident safeguard (9) has a safeguard body (10) with a lower part (13), and an upper part (12) that is displaceably mounted on the lower part (13), and a security seal (11). The latter is mounted on the safeguard body (10) fastened to the immersion pipe (4). When the tamper-evident safeguard (9) is released, there is relative movement between the upper part (12) and the lower part (13), by which a segment of the security seal (11) is separated and is guided into a receiving chamber (21) of the lower part (13).

Systems and methods for coordinating remote fuel delivery to vehicles

Methods and systems are provided for conducting remote refueling events of a passenger vehicle, and for coordinating said remote refueling events with a fuel tank fill level prior to the remote refueling event, a loading state of a fuel vapor storage device, and current and predicted fuel tank pressure. In one example, an amount of fuel that can be added to the fuel tank without overwhelming a capacity of the fuel vapor storage device is increased responsive to scheduling the remote refueling event to take place at a time when the fuel tank is at a negative pressure, thus resulting in partial purge of the fuel vapor storage device prior to commencing refueling. In this way, environmentally friendly refueling events may be enabled, thus reducing the potential for undesired evaporative emissions during refueling events.

The invention relates to an arrangement of a flow measuring device with a testing device. The flow measuring device comprises an inlet section and an outlet section. A rotor is arranged between the inlet section and the outlet section. The rotor is designed for a rotational movement in the event of a fluid flow between the inlet section and the outlet section. At least one indicator element is arranged on the rotor. The flow measuring device further comprises a measuring element, which is adapted to detect a movement of the indicator element. The indicator element comprises a magnetic material. The testing device is designed to set the rotor in rotational motion, preferably without contact. The invention further relates to a method for the functional testing of a flow measuring device.

FLUID DISPENSING OR RECOVERY SYSTEM

A fluid dispensing system generally comprising a dispensing nozzle coupled to a supply conduit; the dispensing nozzle detachably connected to a receiver; a receiver identification device associated with the receiver; an electrical identification circuit being contact-based and including the receiver identification device; an electronics module connected to the supply conduit and arranged to communicate with the electrical identification circuit whereby connection of the dispensing nozzle to the receiver completes the electrical identification circuit and permits communication of at least a unique receiver identifier associated with the receiver identification device to the electronics module.

Systems and methods for generating a one-time use token for item purchase

Systems and methods are disclosed for payment system that uses one-time use tokens for securely facilitating and controlling user purchases using company funds. A user (e.g., driver) may generate a request to make a purchase using a user application. The request may be sent to a server running a payment system that may generate a one-time use token for the purchase of an item (e.g., fuel). The one-time use token may have an expiration time and may only be redeemable at certain locations (e.g., fueling stations) that have been preapproved. The system may send the user application running on the user device the token for purchasing fuel and approved locations. The user may input the token to a controller at an approved location which may request that the server authenticate the token and approve the purchase. Once authenticated and approved, the controller may permit the purchase of the desired item.

System, and Apparatus for Protecting Fuel Dispensers

A security device for a fuel dispenser includes a stepping relay having contacts arranged in series between a source of power and a fuel pump such that when the contacts are open, no fuel can be dispensed. The stepping relay is triggered by one or more door interlock switches that are powered by the fuel pump side of the contacts such that, when an access door is opened, the relay is triggered and the door interlock switches are no longer powered, hence, disabled. Therefore, a reset switch that is constantly powered is interfaced to trigger the stepping relay to close the contacts and allow fuel to be dispensed. Preferably, the reset switch is either remotely located or has a security feature.
