VALVE FOR A GRAVITY FED SILO TANK FUELING SYSTEM
A fleet refueling silo tank system gravity feeds fuel through hoses to fleet units without requiring pressurizing pumps. Specialized valves at the fleet unit fuel tanks prevent vapor escape and admit fuel at low, gravity fed pressures. The cylindrical silo tank includes an upper, gravity feed dispensing chamber and a lower reservoir chamber. A fuel pump doubles as means for moving fuel from the reservoir chamber to the dispensing chamber and for refilling the reservoir from fuel delivery trucks. Onboard telemetry transmits fuel consumption and flow rates wirelessly to a control center where operators monitor safety parameters in real time. Stored data may be analyzed to calculate fleet unit maintenance and service intervals. A tractor trailer hauls the silo tank horizontally on roads and highways and includes a gantry and hydraulic lifts to erect the silo tank into vertical operating position supported by a built-in platform.
MODULAR CONTAINER AND SYSTEM INCLUDING SAME
A modular container is disclosed. The modular container includes a housing defining an internal cavity configured to contain a contents, a port configured to selectively allow the contents to enter and exit the internal cavity, and a vent configured to allow particles of a predetermined size to enter and exit the internal cavity when the modular container is oriented in a first position. The valve is further configured to prevent the contents from exiting the internal cavity when the modular container is oriented in a second position. The modular container also includes a mechanical interlock system which includes a first interlock element and a second interlock element, wherein the first interlock element is configured to mechanically engage with a corresponding second interlock element of a separate modular component, and wherein the second interlock element is configured to mechanically engage with a corresponding first interlock element of a separate system component.
Portable, dual-chambered, silo tank fueling system
A fleet refueling silo tank system gravity feeds fuel through hoses to fleet units without requiring pressurizing pumps. Specialized valves at the fleet unit fuel tanks prevent vapor escape and admit fuel at low, gravity fed pressures. Method and system for dispensing fuel using side-diverting fuel outlets
An example fuel cap assembly includes a fuel cap, a sensor element extending from the fuel cap, and a fuel tube extending from the fuel cap next to the sensor element. The fuel tube includes an outlet end having at least one side-diverting fuel outlet that extends through a sidewall of the fuel tube. A fuel cap assembly kit and method of filling a fuel tank are also disclosed.
Fluid Transfer Device
A fluid transfer device is implemented which has an inlet for receiving a fluid from a subject container or reservoir and an easily controllable outlet to direct the received fluid to a desired location, such as a target container or reservoir. The inlet and outlet may both include conical spouts to which various sized hoses can removably attach to enable directional and maneuverable control for a user. The fluid transfer device includes a base which rests on a surface and provides support for the components above it, including a handle and an operational arm that handles the fluid transfer operations. The fluid transfer device is configured with versatility for adaptability to multiple use cases. For example, the fluid transfer device has a height-adjustable handle to accommodate differently sized containers, a hinged operational arm, and a horizontally-adjustable container rest.
MOBILE FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEM
A mobile fluid transfer system. The system includes a fluid evacuation system, a fluid refill system, a sensing system and a control system. The fluid evacuation system comprises a first fluid storage container. The fluid refill system comprises a second fluid storage container. The sensing system is coupled to the fluid evacuation system and the fluid refill system. The control system is coupled to the sensing system, the fluid evacuation system and the fluid refill system. The control system is configured to determine an amount of a first fluid in the first fluid storage container based on a first signal from the sensing system, and determine an amount of a second fluid in the second fluid storage container based on a second signal from the sensing system.
