Compounds derived from herbicidal carboxylic acids and tetraalkylammonium or (arylalkyl)trialkylammonium hydroxides

Compounds formed by combining a carboxylic acid herbicide with N—((C.sub.1-C.sub.16) alkyl or arylalkyl) tri((C.sub.1-C.sub.16) alkyl)ammonium hydroxide have herbicidal activity on an acid equivalent basis at least as active as the commercially used carboxylic acid herbicide salts, but are less volatile.

Pesticidal composition

Stable, single-phase pesticidal emulsifiable concentrates are provided which comprise (a) a pesticide mixture comprising a major amount of a water-insoluble pesticide and a minor amount of a water-soluble pesticidal salt; (b) a solvent system comprising (i) a major amount of an organic solvent comprising at least one non aqueous polar solvent; and (ii) a minor amount of water; and, optionally, (c) an emulsifying surfactant system enabling an oil in water emulsion to be formed when the concentrate formulation is diluted upon addition to water.

High-strength, herbicidal compositions of glyphosate and 2,4-D salts

The mixture of certain amine salts of glyphosate and 2,4-D allows the preparation of high-strength liquid compositions containing up to greater than 450 gae/L of total active ingredient loading if the pH is adjusted to about 6.0 to about 8.0. Compositions are particularly well-suited for application to crops that are resistant or tolerant to both glyphosate and 2,4-D.
