A microfluidic device may include a die package. The die package may include at least on fluidic die and an overmold material overmolding the fluidic die. The microfluidic device may also include a mesofluidic plate coupled to the die package. The mesofluidic plate includes at least one mesofluidic channel formed therein to fluidically couple the fluidic die.
MEMS acoustic pressure sensor device and method for making same
The present invention discloses a Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) acoustic pressure sensor device and a method for making same. The MEMS device includes: a substrate; a fixed electrode provided on the substrate; and a multilayer structure, which includes multiple metal layers and multiple metal plugs, wherein the multiple metal layers are connected by the multiple metal plugs. A cavity is formed between the multilayer structure and the fixed electrode. Each metal layer in the multilayer structure includes multiple metal sections. The multiple metal sections of one metal layer and those of at least another metal layer are staggered to form a substantially blanket surface as viewed from a moving direction of an acoustic wave.
Electronic device with stud bumps
An electronic device is disclosed. In an embodiment an electronic device includes a carrier board having an upper surface and an electronic chip mounted on the upper surface of the carrier board, the electronic chip having a mounting side facing the upper surface of the carrier board, a top side facing away from the upper surface of the carrier board, and sidewalls connecting the mounting side to the top side, wherein the electronic chip has equal to or less than 5 stud bumps per square millimeter of a base area of the mounting side, and wherein a laminated polymer hood at least partly covers the top side of the electronic chip and extends onto the upper surface of the carrier board.
O-RING SEALS FOR FLUID SENSING
In some examples, a device comprises a substrate including a notch formed in a surface of the substrate and a semiconductor die positioned in the notch and including an electrochemical sensor on an active surface of the semiconductor die. The device also comprises a chemically inert member abutting the surface of the substrate and including an orifice in vertical alignment with the electrochemical sensor as a result of the semiconductor die being positioned in the notch. The device also comprises a compressed o-ring seal positioned between the chemically inert member and the active surface of the semiconductor die, the compressed o-ring seal circumscribing the electrochemical sensor.
PACKAGED PRESSURE SENSOR DEVICE
Embodiments of a packaged electronic device and method of fabricating such a device are provided, where the packaged electronic device includes: a pressure sensor die having a diaphragm on a front side; an encapsulant material that encapsulates the pressure sensor die, wherein the front side of the pressure sensor die is exposed at a first major surface of the encapsulant material; an interconnect structure formed over the front side of the pressure sensor die and the first major surface of the encapsulant material, wherein an opening through the interconnect structure is generally aligned to the diaphragm; and a cap attached to an outer dielectric layer of the interconnect structure, the cap having a vent hole generally aligned with the opening through the interconnect structure.
SEMICONDUCTOR PACKAGE STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A semiconductor package structure includes a substrate; a first die on the substrate, wherein an active surface of the first die is facing away from the substrate; a second die on the active surface of the first die, electrically connected to the first die through a plurality of conductive terminals; and a sealing structure on the active surface of the first die, surrounding the plurality of conductive terminals and abutting the second die thereby forming a cavity between the first die and the second die. A method for manufacturing the semiconductor package structure is also provided.
Stressed decoupled micro-electro-mechanical system sensor
A semiconductor device may include a stress decoupling structure to at least partially decouple a first region of the semiconductor device and a second region of the semiconductor device. The stress decoupling structure may include a set of trenches that are substantially perpendicular to a main surface of the semiconductor device. The first region may include a micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) structure. The semiconductor device may include a sealing element to at least partially seal openings of the stress decoupling structure.

A MEMS package has a MEMS chip, a package substrate which the MEMS chip is adhered, a chip-cover which wraps the MEMS chip, and a cover-supporting part which supports the chip-cover from the inside. In the MEMS package, the chip-cover is supported by the cover-supporting part to form a back chamber, surrounded by the chip-cover and the package substrate.

The dammed-seal part has an annular dam-member which is formed on the element substrate so as to surround the element hole-part and a gel member. The gel member is formed by hardening of gel which is applied on the annular dam-member.

A microelectromechanical systems package structure includes a first substrate, a transducer unit, a semiconductor chip and a second substrate. The first substrate defines a through hole. The transducer unit is electrically connected to the first substrate, and includes a base and a membrane. The membrane is located between the through hole and the base. The semiconductor chip is electrically connected to the first substrate and the transducer unit. The second substrate is attached to the first substrate and defines a cavity. The transducer unit and the chip are disposed in the cavity, and the second substrate is electrically connected to the transducer unit and the semiconductor chip through the first substrate.
