Systems and methods for separating components from fluid streams
Systems and methods for separating components from a fluid stream are described. The systems and methods described herein may be specifically well suited for separating solids, hydrocarbons, chemicals, non-evaporable components, etc., from wastewater produced by oil and gas recovery. The systems and methods may generally include the use of a heat exchanger through which a fluid stream is passed to thereby evaporate some or all of the fluid stream. The heated stream exiting the heat exchanger may include vapor, liquids and/or solids. This heated stream is then subjected to phase separation to separate a vapor stream from a liquid/solids stream. The vapor stream is then transported back to the heat exchanger where it is used to transfer heat from the vapor stream to the fluid stream. During the operation of the heat exchanger, a scraping system may be used to scrape the one or more surfaces of the passage through which the fluid stream flows in order to prevent buildup of solids and liquids thereon.
METHODS FOR SEPARATION AND ISOLATION OF TETRAHYDROCANNABIVARIN
Provided herein are methods for the isolation of THCV from a composition comprising THCV and at least one other cannabinoid. The methods provided herein may comprise one or more of (1) an extraction step wherein cannabinoid compounds are extracted from Cannabis plant material, thereby producing a composition comprising THCV; (2) a distillation step wherein a composition comprising THCV is distilled, thereby providing a distillate that is enriched in THCV; and (3) a flash chromatography step wherein a composition comprising THCV is subjected to flash chromatography, thereby producing a THCV isolate.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARATION OF PHARMACOLOGICALLY-RELEVANT COMPOUNDS FROM BOTANICAL SOURCES
In a system and process for selectively purifying various pharmacologically-relevant components of a source plant such as cannabis, an initial step provides a low-temperature, robust essential oil/terpene capture that also dehydrates and decarboxylates the starting product—fresh raw cannabis—by means of a vacuum-assisted microwave distillation process. By doing the terpene capture under vacuum distillation temperature may be kept low. The low distillation temperature maximizes yields of thermally sensitive components such as terpenes and cannabinoids. The system includes an oil/water separator configured to prevent leakage of ambient air into the system.
Devolatization of highly viscous silicone fluids in the short path evaporator
Volatile siloxanes, particularly those of a cyclic nature, are removed from high viscosity silicone polymers and high viscosity silicone compositions by evaporation in a short path evaporator.
System for decontaminating water and generating water vapor
A system and method for decontaminating a fluid and recovered vapor, particularly processing and recycling water used in an oil zone steam process, utilizing a vaporizer-desalination unit to separate a contaminated water flow into a contaminated disposal flow and a clean water vapor flow. The contaminated water flow is recovered after separation from a combined oil and water flow from an oil well. The clean water vapor flow is preferably passed through a steam generator to produce the steam used in the oil zone steam process. The steam is injected into the oil zone of a designated well and then extracted as the combined oil and water flow. Once primed with sufficient external water, the system and method is designed to operate continuously with minimal replenishment because of the water/vapor/steam cycle.
Processing system and method
In accordance with one embodiment, a processing device includes a heated internal wall and a rotating rod positioned within an interior space formed by the heated internal wall. The rotating rod may be hollow and act as an internal heat exchanger. The processing device also includes a plurality of baffles spaced apart from one another along the rotating rod and extending away from the rotating rod towards the heated internal wall. The plurality of baffles or porous, packed basket that rotates with the rotating rod that also may be configured to provide cooling relative to the heated internal wall. The processing device also includes at least one wiper or roller coupled to an edge of at least one of the plurality of baffles or porous, packed basket, coupled to the rotating rod and that contacts the heated internal wall while rotating together with the rotating rod. In another embodiment, a processing device may be used to adsorb reactive gases into a liquid phase while heat is exchanged.
DELTA-8-TETRAHYDROCANNABINOL FROM CANNABIDIOL EXTRACTED FROM HEMP
The present invention describes a process to isomerize industrial hemp derived Cannabidiol (CBD) to a pure Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ8-THC) extract. This procedure will produce Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol that is essentially free from any detectable levels of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC). Included in this filing are methods and processes to scale the reaction from the lab to process to large scale manufacturing. Additionally, the resulting extract from said methods and processes consists of higher purity than previously reported in the art and greater efficiency compared to prior art.
PROCESS FOR DECONTAMINATING WATER AND GENERATING WATER VAPOR
A process for decontaminating a fluid and recovered vapor, particularly processing and recycling contaminated water, utilizing a vaporizer-desalination unit to separate a contaminated water flow into a contaminated disposal flow and a clean water vapor flow. The contaminated disposal flow may be dried and separated into recovered minerals utilizing heat from the clean water vapor flow to dry the contaminated disposal flow.

SYSTEM FOR TREATING BIO-CONTAMINATED WASTEWATER AND PROCESS FOR DECONTAMINATING A WASTEWATER SOURCE
A system and process for decontaminating a bio-contaminated wastewater fluid as from a slaughterhouse or similar facility. The system and process recovers purified vapor/steam through a decontamination unit having a plurality of alternating rotating trays and fixed baffles in a processing vessel producing separate purified and contaminant streams. One or more filter/strainer units are disposed in parallel before the decontamination unit, and may be used alternately while the other is cleaned. A rotating shaft connected to the rotating trays may also connected to an electrical generator to provide electricity for circuits and controls in the system.
