CONTINUOUS HEMP SEED OIL EXTRACTION SYSTEM AND METHODS
The disclosure relates to a Cannabis seed processing method and system comprising ultrasonic treatment of Cannabis seeds coupled to a membrane extraction system for efficient recovery of hemp seed oil.
Continuous extraction of natural products from plants apparatus and methods
A reaction assembly separating plant material from water includes a first annular filter element defining an axis. The first annular filter element is defined by an outer annular coil of flat wire and an optional second filter element is defined by an inner annular coil of flat wire, being generally helical in the axial direction. A cylindrically or frustoconical filter membrane is concentrically disposed between the first and second annular filter element. The filter membrane is porous having aperture size of less than a nano-particulate size of the plant material, but greater than a nano-particulate size of the water molecule. The second annular filter includes adjustable porosity for selectively preventing particles from reaching the filter membrane and selectively cleaning the membrane by reversed flow of water through the membrane. The assembly generates radial and distal flows and differential pressure forces, for use in high throughput industrial, agricultural and municipal facilities.
System and method for extracting hydrocarbons
A system and method for extracting hydrocarbons utilizing recirculated washing medium to enhance efficiency. Some embodiments include a helical agitation member configured to promote extended contact between material containing hydrocarbons and a washing medium.
CANNABIS SCREW CONVEYOR PROCESSOR AND MEMBRANE SYSTEM AND METHODS
The disclosure relates to a continuous Cannabis plant material processing system comprising ultrasonic treatment of Cannabis plant material coupled to a membrane system for the efficient recovery of cannabinoids.
Extractor having a solvent drainage zone
An immersion extractor may have a housing that maintains a solvent pool in which solids material being processed is immersed during operation. One or more bed decks can be positioned inside of the housing to provide multiple extraction stages. In some examples, a final bed deck extends from below a solvent level maintained in the housing to above the solvent level such that solids material is conveyed out of the solvent pool and toward a feed outlet at the end of extraction. The bed deck may include a drainage section positioned between the top of the solvent level in the extractor and the feed outlet, allowing solvent to drain out of the solids material before being discharged through the feed outlet, thereby increasing the efficiency of the extraction process.
Apparatus including rotor and stator having teeth with surfaces of a parabolic profile and method for enhancing phase contact and chemical reactions
An apparatus for enhancing phase contact and chemical reactions is provided. The apparatus comprises at least one high-turbulence mixing stage and at least one high-shear-stress and high-cavitation stage. The stages are adapted to cause an increase in relative sliding speeds of phases involved in a multiphase flow passing through the stages. The high-shear-stress and high-cavitation stage comprises a rotor having radial teeth housed in a cavitation chamber surrounded by a stator having radial teeth. The facing surfaces of the radial teeth have a parabolic profile in circumferential direction. For each tooth, the parabolic profile lies along a curve of a parabola of which a vertex is arranged at a rear edge of the tooth, with respect to a direction of rotation of the rotor, and along a radius extending from the rear edge to a center of the rotor. The focus of the parabola is also located on the radius.
Rotary Separation Apparatus and Process
A horizontal axis rotary separation apparatus is deployed in a process for separating resinous trichomes rich in flavoring, aromatic and/or medicinal components produced in plant trichome glands from unwanted plant matter. The process physically separates resin rich beads at the trichome gland head from extraneous plant matter by one or move separation sieves. The sieves are provided in or as a casing over a rigid frame member. The sieves are mesh fabric bags or screen that are easily opened and replenished in a batch operating mode, and are removable from the frame for cleaning and maintenance. Other aspects of the invention include processes that improve process efficiency and speed, and yield products of superior quality.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING DRILL CUTTINGS FROM DRILL MUD
An apparatus for separating particles, such as drill cuttings, from a flowable substance, such as drilling mud, is provided. The apparatus comprises an inlet for entry of particles combined with the flowable substance; an outlet for exit of particles separated from the flowable substance; a movable screen located between the inlet and the outlet; and a wash unit for delivering a wash agent to the particles. The screen allows for passage of the flowable substance therethrough, and defines a path for passage of the particles between the inlet and the outlet. Delivery of the wash agent to the particles assists with separation of the particles from the flowable substance. Associated systems and methods are also provided.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE HIGH-PRESSURE TREATMENT OF BULK MATERIAL BY EXTRACTION AND/OR IMPREGNATION AND USE
Devices and methods for the high-pressure treatment of bulk material by extraction and/or impregnation. The bulk material is arranged in the interior volume of a pressure vessel device and is treated at a high pressure while sealed off from the surroundings. The high-pressure treatment is performed batchwise in a closed system in the pressure vessel device in a pressure-tight fashion. The bulk material is fed batchwise to the interior volume with the pressure vessel device closed and being arranged on at least one treatment level and, after the high-pressure treatment has occurred, being discharged batchwise from the interior volume with the pressure vessel device closed. The invention furthermore relates to the use of a supporting tray module with at least one treatment level for the high-pressure treatment in a closed system.
