Portable extraction device
The present invention provides a portable extraction device for extracting at least one constituent from a substance by an extraction fluid. The extraction device comprises at least one pump, an extractor, an evaporator, and a condenser. The substance and the extraction fluid are placed and mixed in the extractor. The extraction fluid is a subcritical fluid. The constituent in the substance will be dissolved in the extraction fluid under a predetermined pressure and temperature. The evaporator receives the extraction fluid including the constituent from the extractor, and heats the extraction fluid including the constituent to gasify the extraction fluid and separate the constituent from the gasified extraction fluid. The condenser receives the gasified extraction fluid via a first pipe, liquefies the gasified extraction fluid, and transmits the liquefied extraction fluid to the extractor via a second pipe. The extractor, the evaporator, and the condenser are operated under constant pressure.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE HIGH-PRESSURE TREATMENT OF BULK MATERIAL BY EXTRACTION AND/OR IMPREGNATION AND USE
Devices and methods for the high-pressure treatment of bulk material by extraction and/or impregnation. The bulk material is arranged in the interior volume of a pressure vessel device and is treated at a high pressure while sealed off from the surroundings. The high-pressure treatment is performed batchwise in a closed system in the pressure vessel device in a pressure-tight fashion. The bulk material is fed batchwise to the interior volume with the pressure vessel device closed and being arranged on at least one treatment level and, after the high-pressure treatment has occurred, being discharged batchwise from the interior volume with the pressure vessel device closed. The invention furthermore relates to the use of a supporting tray module with at least one treatment level for the high-pressure treatment in a closed system.

Device and method for the continuous high-pressure treatment of bulk material and use thereof
An apparatus and method of high pressure treatment of bulk material by extraction and/or impregnation may involve treating bulk material in an internal volume of a pressure vessel apparatus at a high pressure level in a range from 40 to 1000 bar under isolation from the environment. The high pressure treatment may be performed charge-wise in a closed system in the pressure vessel apparatus in that the bulk material is supplied charge-wise to the internal volume with the pressure vessel apparatus closed and is positioned in at least one treatment plane. Upon completion of the high pressure treatment, the bulk material is discharged charge-wise from the internal volume with the pressure vessel apparatus closed. This also gives advantages in terms of handling, especially also with regard to material flow, and with regard to operational reliability.
Extraction of polyisoprene with high molar mass
The invention relates to a method for extracting high-quality polyisoprene by grinding plants via rotary shearing using a device comprising at least one rotor and at least one stator, into particles of size smaller than 1 mm, or grinding at a pH higher than 3 and lower than 8. This method is implemented in aqueous phase and allows the preparation of a dispersion of polyisoprene in water having a weight average molecular weight (M.sub.W) higher than 800 000 g/mol. The polyisoprene is extracted from plants and in particular from guayule (Parthenium argentatum). It is a method that is particularly heedful of the environment.
Process for ambient temperature fractionation and extraction of various biomasses
The present invention provides a process for fractionating biomass into its individual components. The process includes pretreating a biomass which may include mechanically altering the fibers and/or contacting the biomass with a solvent to provide a fluidized biomass. The pretreated fluidized biomass may be subjected to high frequency pulses and shear forces without denaturing one or more components of the biomass to provide a first liquid fraction and a first fractionated biomass. The first liquid fraction may then be isolated or separated from the first fractionated biomass. The biomass may be separated, isolated or purified into lignin, extractives for use in pharmaceuticals or nutraceuticals, cellulose, hemicellulose, and other sugars and proteins.
