The present disclosure relates to methods for preparing extracellular vesicles (EVs). In particular, the methods provided herein comprise contacting a sample, which comprises EVs and one or more impurities, with a depth filter, wherein the depth filter is selected from a LA media grade depth filter, a SP media grade depth filter, or both. In some aspects, the methods further comprise one or more chromatography steps. The methods enable preparation of EVs for therapeutic and diagnostic applications, and isolation and/or sub-fractionation of EVs with desired properties for specific use.

PROCESS FOR SELECTIVE ADSORPTION AND RECOVERY OF LITHIUM FROM NATURAL AND SYNTHETIC BRINES

This invention relates generally to a process for selective adsorption and recovery of lithium from natural and synthetic brines, and more particular to a process for recovering lithium from a natural or synthetic brine solution by passing the brine solution through a lithium selective adsorbent in a continuous countercurrent adsorption and desorption circuit.

CELL LYSIS BUFFER SEPARATION APPARATUS FOR PREPARING POLYPEPTIDE, AND SYSTEM AND APPLICATION THEREOF
20240228534 · 2024-07-11 ·

A cell lysis buffer separation apparatus for preparing a polypeptide, and a system and the application thereof. The system comprises a polypeptide enrichment module, wherein the polypeptide enrichment module comprises a cell lysis buffer separation apparatus, and the cell lysis buffer separation apparatus comprises a multi-filtration device and a waste discharge pipeline, the waste discharge pipeline being connected to the multi-filtration device. The system can perform multi-filtration treatment on a lysis buffer. Therefore, the yield of target protein can be increased; and a waste liquid obtained by means of the system contains almost no toxin polypeptide precursor with low toxicity, and has very little toxicity to an operating environment, and same can be directly discharged after simple disinfection treatment, thereby greatly reducing production cost and promoting large-scale industrial production of polypeptide under the conditions of ensuring the safety of the environment and the safety of operators.

DIPODAL SILANE BONDED SORBENTS FOR SOLID PHASE EXTRACTION AND USE THEREOF FOR OLIGONUCLEOTIDE EXTRACTION

Provided herein are compositions, kits and methods that may be useful for improving the efficiency of solid phase extraction to separate oligonucleotides from a complex matrix. Particularly, the present technology relates to a sorbent material including porous particles, the surface of which is modified with a ligand that includes one or more bridging alkyl substituted amines and at least two siloxyl terminal groups.

PROTEIN PURIFICATION DEVICE

A device for purifying protein from a protein-containing fluid includes a prefilter unit, which has at least one size exclusion filter, a membrane adsorber unit, which has at least one porous membrane with functional constituents which adsorb the protein to be purified, and a collecting container. The collecting container, the membrane adsorber unit and the prefilter unit are configured such that the collecting container is suitable for receiving the membrane adsorber unit; and the membrane adsorber unit is suitable for receiving the prefilter unit. An associated method for purifying protein from a protein-containing fluid using the device is also disclosed.

Microstructure separation filters are provided herein, as well as chromatography and other separation devices. An exemplary filter device includes a microstructure filter has a plurality of layers of alternating sacrificial and/or structural material which have been etched to create inlet channels and outlet channels. Adjacent ones of the inlet channels and the outlet channels are spaced apart from one another by cross channels that filter a fluid from the inlet channels to the outlet channels. The cross channels include filter features formed by etching away of a portion of the layers. The device also includes a housing configured to receive the microstructure filter.

Filter element and filtration assembly for biopharmaceutical applications

Provided are filter elements or cells and filtration assemblies or capsules for purifying and/or clarifying fluids used during various biopharmaceutical applications, for example, chromatography or depth filtration, and processes for making and using the same. A filter element comprises a media pack comprising two sides and a separator element located between the two sides, at least one side comprising a filtration media, wherein an inner edge periphery and/or an outer edge periphery of the filtration media comprise a bond directly to a portion of the separator element.
