Liquid chromatography filtration methods are further disclosed.
1-carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-iminopropane and extraction method thereof
The present disclosure discloses a 1-carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-iminopropane and an extraction method thereof, and belongs to the technical fields of food, health food and medicine. A method for extracting the 1-carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-iminopropane of the present disclosure includes the following steps: (1) adding a diaphragma juglandis fructus powder into an ethanol solution for extraction and filtration to obtain a supernatant, and conducting concentration on the supernatant under reduced pressure to obtain a walnut alcohol extract; (2) adding a filter residue of step (1) into water for extraction and filtration to obtain a supernatant, and conducting concentration on the supernatant under reduced pressure to obtain a walnut water extract; and (3) mixing the walnut alcohol extract and the water extract to obtain a diaphragma juglandis fructus mixed extract, sequentially conducting elution through an AB-8 type macroporous resin column, an MCI column and an ODS column, and conducting separation to obtain a precipitate, namely the 1-carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-iminopropane. In the present disclosure, the 1-carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-iminopropane in diaphragma juglandis fructus is found for the first time and has great sedation and hypnosis activity.
Methods and Systems for Thermal Fluid Conditioning and Delivery
Example implementations relate to techniques for thermal fluid conditioning and delivery. A technique may involve coupling a container of heat transfer fluid to an input and removing moisture from the heat transfer fluid via a molecular sieve. A pressure source is configured to push the heat transfer fluid out of the container and through the molecular sieve. Subsequent to removing the moisture from the heat transfer fluid, the technique involves separating, via an orifice coupled to a tank, the heat transfer fluid into liquid and gas particles within the tank and removing, via a vacuum coupled to the tank, the gas particles from the tank. The liquid can then be supplied into a fluid system via additional pressure by the pressure source. The technique may be performed by a portable device that houses the various components used to condition and delivery the thermal fluid.
Use of a hemocompatible porous polymer bead sorbent for removal of endotoxemia-inducing molecules
The invention concerns biocompatible polymer systems comprising at least one polymer with a plurality of pores, said polymer comprising either polyol or zwitterionic groups designed to adsorb endotoxins and other inflammatory mediator molecules. The inventions are in the field of porous polymeric sorbents, also in the field of broadly reducing endotoxins in blood and blood products that can cause endotoxemia, additionally, in the field of broadly removing endotoxins by perfusion or hemoperfusion.
PROCESS FOR SELECTIVE ADSORPTION AND RECOVERY OF LITHIUM FROM NATURAL AND SYNTHETIC BRINES
This invention relates generally to a process for selective adsorption and recovery of lithium from natural and synthetic brines, and more particular to a process for recovering lithium from a natural or synthetic brine solution by passing the brine solution through a lithium selective adsorbent in a continuous countercurrent adsorption and desorption circuit.
Method for preparing adrenochrome by catalytic oxidation using nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes
Disclosed is a method for preparing adrenochrome by catalytic oxidation using nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes. The method catalyzes dissolved oxygen in an aqueous solution by the nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes to rapidly oxidize adrenaline, which is completely transformed into adrenochrome. It is a novel preparation process of adrenochrome, which is simple, and has mild reaction conditions, high product purity, an impurity content less than 10.sup.−8%, and low subsequent processing cost, thereby having a great application prospect. The nitrogen-doped carbon tubes after use can be regenerated and recovered, and its reutilization is still able to realize the complete transformation of adrenaline. The high utilization rate of catalytic material conforms to the concept of energy conservation, minimizing the costs.
METHODS FOR MAKING BOTANICAL EXTRACT COMPOSITION
A method for making a caffeoylquinic composition from a botanical source is disclosed. The method may include chromatographing an extract of biomass on an ion exchange stationary phase and obtaining an eluent comprising a caffeoylquinic composition. The biomass may be stevia or yerba mate, for example. The caffeoylquinic composition includes one or more of monocaffeoylquinic acid, dicaffeoylquinic acid, and salts of the foregoing.
