ENHANCING LCMS ANALYTE SIGNALS
This disclosure provides liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometer (LC-MS/MS) methods and systems for detecting low levels of pesticides and mycotoxins in a test sample. In the disclosed methods and systems, oxalic acid is added to a mobile phase composition of a reverse phase chromatographic separation column. This addition improves the signal for certain pesticides and mycotoxins by a factor of from 1.5 to 9, improving their detection limits in a variety of test samples.
Highly purified recombinant human insulin (RHI) API and methods of producing the same
Methods are disclosed for producing highly purified recombinant human insulin (RHI) having a purity of 99.0% (w/w) or greater, a Total Impurity (not including the related substance desamido Asn.sup.A21-RHI, as specified by USP) of 0.8% (w/w) or less, and an impurity C of 0.1% (w/w) or less. Also disclosed are API compositions of highly purified RHI having a purity of 99.0% (w/w) or greater, a Total Impurity of 0.8% (w/w) or less, and an impurity C of 0.1% (w/w) or less.
LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE PRODUCTION METHOD
An object of the present invention is to provide a lipopolysaccharide production method that contributes to labor hygiene and environmental conservation and is suited for large-scale production and a lipopolysaccharide produced thereby. The present invention relates to a lipopolysaccharide production method, etc., with which a lipopolysaccharide is extracted and purified from gram-negative bacterium and is a lipopolysaccharide production method that includes a first step of performing extraction from the gram-negative bacterium using hot water to obtain an extract liquid that contains the lipopolysaccharide and a second step of purifying the extract liquid or a solution containing the LPS in the extract liquid by using reverse-phase liquid chromatography to obtain the lipopolysaccharide and in that a reverse-phase column used in the reverse-phase liquid chromatography has a packing material constituted of a material having a functional group of 1 to 8 carbons.
HYDROLYTICALLY STABLE ZWITTERIONIC CHROMATOGRAPHIC MATERIALS
In some aspects, the present disclosure pertains to chromatographic materials that comprise (a) a bulk material and (b) a zwitterionic polymer covalently linked to a surface of the bulk material, in which the zwitterionic polymer comprises one or more monomer residues that comprise an amide or urea moiety, a positively charged moiety, and a negatively charged moiety. Other aspects of the present disclosure pertain to chromatographic separation devices that comprise such chromatographic materials, to chromatographic methods that employ such chromatographic separation devices, and to kits that contain (i) such chromatographic materials and (ii) one or more chromatographic devices for containing such materials.
Process for the preparation of linaclotide
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of Linaclotide by oxidizing linear Linaclotide of formula (II) using combination of air and oxidizing agent followed by purification using RP-HPLC.
ISOMERIZATION FEATURE-BASED METHOD FOR PURIFYING PUNICALAGIN
An isomerization feature-based method for purifying and preparing punicalagin is provided, wherein pomegranate peel extract is used as a raw material. The isomerization feature-based method avoids impurities contained in the punicalagin based on structural characteristics, for example, the punicalagin in the pomegranate peel extract has two mutually convertible isomers. In the isomerization feature-based method, a pilot-scale preparative liquid chromatography is used to obtain a large amount of the punicalagin having a purity higher than 98% from a complex pomegranate peel extract. The isomerization feature-based method is simple, an obtained punicalagin has high purities and a preparation is in a massive scale. The isomerization feature-based has a strong reference value for purification and preparation of compounds with isomerization features.
Methods and compositions for modulating complex mixtures by selective deletion chromatography
The present disclosure relates to methods of modifying complex extracts such that components or mixtures of components are selectively removed or added, thus providing a complex mixture that does not naturally occur with a refined or a tuned therapeutic or nutraceutical effect. In various aspects, the complex extract can be an extract obtained from one or more plants, e.g., an extract obtained from green tea leaves. The present disclosure pertains to compositions obtained by the disclosed methods, nutraceutical compositions comprising same, pharmaceutical compositions comprising same, and methods of treating various conditions, including physiological dysfunctions associated with elevated reactive oxygen species and/or inflammatory molecule, e.g., TNFα, expression using same. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
Highly unsaturated fatty acid or highly unsaturated fatty acid ethyl ester with reduced environmental pollutants, and method for producing same
A highly unsaturated fatty acid or a highly unsaturated fatty acid ethyl ester that has been produced using as a feedstock oil a fat or oil that contains highly unsaturated fatty acids as constituent fatty acids and which has been reduced in the contents of environmental pollutants, wherein among the dioxins contained, polychlorinated dibenzoparadioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) are contained in amounts of less than 0.05 pg-TEQ/g and coplanar PCBs (Co-PCBs) in amounts of less than 0.03 pg-TEQ/g. Also disclosed is a method for producing the highly unsaturated fatty acid or highly unsaturated fatty acid ethyl ester by the steps of removing free fatty acids and environmental pollutants by thin-film distillation from a feedstock oil, ethyl esterifying the resulting fat or oil, and refining the same by rectification and column chromatography.
MOGROSIDES AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides a process for preparation of compositions comprising novel mogrosides from fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii. The compositions have superior organoleptic properties compared to known mogroside compositions and are useful in wider range of consumables including foods and beverages.
