Solid-liquid separation device
In a solid-liquid separation apparatus, which comprises multiple movable members and screws that extend and pass through the movable members without contacting the movable members and which dehydrates sludge while conveying same by means of the rotation of the screws, to apply a wringing action on the sludge and increase sludge dehydration efficiency. (Solution) A first movable unit 41 is configured by linking multiple movable members 4A and 4B as a unit with a linking rod 44, a second movable unit 41A is configured by linking multiple other movable members 4C and 4D as a unit with a linking rod 44A, and the movable members 4A and 4B of the first movable unit 41 and the movable members 4C and 4D of the second movable unit 41A are reciprocated with a phase difference.
System and Method for Removing Solid Buildup from Filters
A system and a method for removing solid buildup from a filter media is disclosed. A slurry is passed parallel across a cross-flow filter, the filter comprising a conductive filter media and the slurry comprising a carrier liquid and solids. A portion of the carrier liquid crosses through the filter media as a permeate while a thickened slurry continues parallel to the filter media. A blockage of at least a portion of the filter media is detected. The blockage comprises a portion of the solids. At least a portion of the filter media is heated to a melting temperature of the solids, such that a portion of the blockage melts, whereby the blockage is cleared.
ROTARY SCREW BLANCHER
A food processing apparatus includes a pressure vessel defining a compartment having an inlet end for receiving food product and an outlet end for discharging food product, an open-top screen mounted within the compartment and movable relative to the compartment between a first position, for food processing, and a second position, to facilitate cleaning, a rotatable auger mounted such that at least a portion of the auger is within the screen, the auger being operable to advance food product within the compartment from the inlet end of the pressure vessel toward the outlet end, and a transfer mechanism including a conduit in communication with the compartment, a fluid discharge positioned substantially within the conduit, and a pressurized fluid source in communication with the fluid discharge and operable to propel a fluid through the fluid discharge to move food product through the conduit.
HIGH PRESSURE FILTER APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
Described are high pressure filter housings and apparatuses that are useful to contain a fluid under high pressure, with example housings including first and second pieces having complimentary tapered joint surfaces that can form a fluid-tight seal without a gasket located between the surfaces, and methods of making and using the high pressure filter apparatuses.
DEWATERING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A dewatering system for removing solids from an influent includes a filtration assembly and a feed pipe upstream thereof. The dewatering system includes a solids receptacle downstream of the filtration assembly, and an effluent collector adjacent to the filtration assembly and in fluid communication with the filtration assembly. The dewatering system includes a sensor to sense a characteristic of an influent, an effluent and/or a solid. A control system is operatively connected to the sensor to receive a sensor signal therefrom and to generate an adjustment signal based on the sensor signal to improve the efficiency of the dewatering system.
A FILTERING APPARATUS COMPRISING AN INLET AND AT LEAST TWO OUTLETS
An apparatus for filtering solid and/or non-dissolved contaminants entrained in flowing water, the apparatus comprising an inlet for the water containing the entrained solid or non-dissolved contaminants to flow into a filtering chamber; a first outlet for expelling the unfiltered water from the filtering chamber; the filtering chamber further comprising: a curved or corner portion in the filtering chamber providing at least a part of a flow path of water from the inlet to the first outlet such that flow of the water along the curved or corner portion changes the direction of flow of the water; and a filtering screen for filtration of solid and/or non-dissolved contaminants from the influent water thereby allowing passage of filtered water out of the filtering chamber.
MULTI PLATE SCREW PRESS SLUDGE DEWATERING MACHINE
The present invention provides a multi plate screw press sludge dewatering machine and a helical shaft thereof. The multi plate screw press sludge dewatering machine includes fixed rings, movable rings, the helical shaft, a sludge inlet tank and a sludge discharging tank; the helical shaft adopts a variable diameter variable pitch helical shaft, a lead angle arrangement sequence of a helical blade of the whole helical shaft is gradual reduction from the sludge discharging tank to the sludge inlet tank, and the lead angle arrangement sequence is gradually reduced from 16-22 to 6-14; a pitch of the helical shaft is gradually increased along a direction from the sludge inlet tank to the sludge discharging tank; a diameter of a shaft body of the helical shaft is gradually increased along with a direction of the sludge discharging tank from a position of a shaft length; and blockage prevention plates are arranged on two sides of the bottom of the helical blade. The helical shaft in the present invention is specially designed, so that the pitch is more reasonable, a helical angle is gentler, frictional resistance when sludge passes through the helical shaft may be effectively reduced, and phenomena of shaft blockage and shaft sticking of the sludge may be reduced.
